I can't download the music video. *cries* I don't want to buy the DVD either (also, it's a region 2. >.<) Its got to exist in Taiwan...want bootleg. *sigh* So...who is going to Asia next? ^^;

Crew will be fashionably late.... No prob, since I still have lots of stuff to do. ^^; Haven't put on my 'costume' yet. Nothing much here....

Halo win

Why is it that I'm always busy no matter what time of day it is? Well, the day of candy and haunts have arrived, and I need to finish up some stuff before I go to bed. But before I get back to my packing and misc. stuff...I played Halo 2 at my friend's house, and I killed this guy 3 times. ^.^ He is like one of the experts of my church (at this game,) and I killed him with my rocket launcher. *big grin* Of course, he got me countless times...but we don't need to get into that. ^.^ Yay! Three wins for me! *dances*

Halloween Hell

I was suppose to stay in today and vegetate...but instead I walked around the lake of Bear Mountain watching the changing leaves. No big, right? Sure, except that I really needed to use the bathroom and that I didn't feel well physically and that I was pulled into every freakin picture they could drag me to. I'm bitching right now...but that isn't the point really. My own fault since it takes next to nothing to convince me to go anywhere. (Wanna jump off the cliff? Sure, why not. >.<)

'Hell' was really trying to do the 'let's get along and work things out,' bit on the phone with my bffs. Heck, I won't even pretend that everything is cherry and pink...but things aren't black and depressing either. We all have our little issues. The problems in this little circle are more noticable...because this is a little circle. I'm an extremest and it just so happens that I know someone who is a clean freak, emotionally moody, introverted and organized to a fault. Yeah, I get pissed when Ms. Emotional beats the hell out of me, or I get yelled at by Ms. Organized and Ms. Clean (no association with Mr. Clean,) but I deal right? You guys figure this out, because I won't even try. XD *runs off and hides*

Prep: Otakon 2006

On a happier note, I made reservations at the Sheraton Inner Harbor in Baltimore for Aug. 3 - Aug. 6 2006 for the weekend of Otakon. The hotel that I stayed at this year is already booked solid for that weekend. I called and they were like "Yeah, the Otakon Convention, there are no more rooms." O.O The Sheraton was kinda pricy, but it's connected to the convention center, so I don't have to worry about rain and stuff. ^.^

I'm going to make a kimono/dress for next year. Its nothing in particular, but it's ultra pretty. In 'Pokemon Movie 6: Jirachi-The Wish Maker', Asuca Hiyashi(sp?), the Japanese singer for 'Chiisaki Mono' wore a beautiful white/blue kimono/dress for the music video. I totally want to make it...if not it, than something just like it. ^.^ I'll start working on that later...when I get through the 'I have no more $$$' season thats about to come up. (Maybe, I'll even have it made for I-Con...and maybe I'll sing that song for my performance.... *.* ...nope, not going to happen.)

Behind the scenes: Inuyasha the Anime

Word on the net is that Inuyasha (long running anime series of Viz media) by Rumiko Takashi has finally ended in the U.S.. O.O Producer Yoshida Toshifumi wrote in his blog that he just finished the voice recording for the series. Otaku purest (those that only like anime in the original form and hate all else, you know who you are,) please note that Producer Yoshida-san has personally chosen the NA seiyuus for all of Takashi-san's animes: which includes Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2, Inyuasha and others. Do not bash anime dubs before you hear them! I respect Yoshida-san's choices and can honestly say that I had no problems with the voices even before I knew he was involved with the process (when I watched them like over 10 years ago. ^^;) From his blog, he notes that this will be the end of his involvement with Viz media. For now or forever? We don't know (at least I don't ^-^) but I am truly grateful for his work with the company, bringing up the standards for dubbed anime and just bringing Takashi-san's stories into anime form.

And not just Yoshida-san, Japanese animation producers and directors have become more involved in the process of anime being brought in the U.S. The transition of voice actors and translations have improved greatly as seen in Disney's work with Miyazaki's films as well as in the English mangas. With the variety that hit mainstream nowadays, the anime may truly become a part of children beyond watching Simpsons. In a few years, they may even remember watching Totoro as they grew up. ^.^ (Now, when is Disney going to buy the rights of Totoro from that other company? ^^;)

Overtime sucks

I woke up at 5:50am in order to get to court before 9am. I didn’t get off work until 7pm, ending up with me arriving home at 9:15pm. I vaccumed, washed my hair and now I’m having my dinner in the middle of the night. Can you say overworked? Nah, I’m only one in the limitless number of people in my office that works on this kind of schedule on a daily basis. It makes me think a bit: Asians graduating and going for top jobs like medicine, law, computer technology and corporate business (sounds familiar, mina-san? ^.^) is cool, but truly if others settle for the million of other careers (like social work?) is just as good. The study I did in one of my sociology courses was based on a theory that certain nationalities and ethnic backgrounds tend to go for certain careers. I don’t know…it just makes me wonder at the fact that in such a metropolis that we live in, we’re short on Asian speaking social workers. Well, until the demand and need for people in my agency decreases, I guess there will always be a job for me and overtime for everyone. ^^;

Pearly: Haven’t really been downloading much since I’ve been going ballistic at work. Still looking for alternate methods for scanlations. Were you able to download manga through livejournal? Can’t wait to see the CDs/DVDs you burned for me. ^.^ Let me know how many so I can replace/pay for them. Domo arigato!

Jenn-chan: Did your costume come yet? How is your room coming along? (Are you still sneezing? ^^;) Can’t wait to see you in your outfit! I’ve read Naruto manga at my church friend’s house (I think vol. 22 or something like that….) Sasuke seemed to have abandoned Sakura and Naruto…either that, or he was kidnapped by another clan/tribe. Scary…. ^.^

I look pretty good (for a girl.) ^.^ If I have time, I'll make the red insigna and put it on the back of my black hoodie/overcoat. The thing I'm concentrating on making the black/white trimmed jacket. Besides the watch, the red coat (which I turned black) and the inner jacket is kinda like trademarks of Ed. I'll see what happens. ^.^

ftp is awesome!

I found a wonderful ftp site which had lots of great manga for download. I was able to re-download alot of the stuff that I lost when my work laptop had to be reformatted. Much of the manga is in volume form, which takes awhile to download, even on a T1 connection. But I don't mind...I just leave my laptop open to download while I run around the city for my clients. ^.^;

I'm also downloading torrent files. Since most of those files are over 1GB, it takes (from the estimated time) 40 something hours. O.O Well, it makes sense since it goes like 15kb/s. Well, I don't know if it's good yet, but I'll be patient and keep on trying it out. If it works...I might have something I really like.... ^.^

wine and cheese

I came home late tonight since I was at a trafficking panel. Those of you who don't know what I'm typing about, I'm not even going to bother explaining it online. Anyway, one of my previous supervisors was a panelist, which was totally cool. It was a very interesting evening, filled with thoughtful insights and questions. After the panel, we went into another room where there were subway sandwiches, pickles and mayo/mustard waiting for us. *yummy* On another table were cookies, veggies, fruits and cheese platters. O.O *mouth waters* Not to mention, we had an open bar with really cute guys (according to my co-worker ^^;) from the other social service agencies serving drinks. Of course, I was good and only had Sierra mist aka sprite. ^.^

Yeah, it's all about the food, but even though I had a sandwich/cookie/cheese, I'm kinda hungry right now. ^^; Time to eat!

Church rant: part 2

I spoke with a friend from my old church. She confirmed my suspicions: the adults have gone insane. Those of my generation (X) who stayed are either against the insanity or are in denial of the crumbling of our reality. I charge the parents who did this to us! We grew up together. Our youth have been bound in the period of over a decade. Just because a bunch of ambitious over the hill cronies decided to take over the world doesn't mean that they can ignore the throng of youth that survived all these years. I won't forgive the stupidity of adults. I won't forgive the suffering they have caused. *adds names to blacklist*

People gotta be insane if they think I'll just say "Well, it was good while it lasted." XP

There will be a farewell party for the pastor this sunday. Some of my old church friends are coming, which is good since I haven’t seen them for a long time. *sigh* I'm going to eat now.

Cosplay: Theory

I'm theorizing my halloween cosplay.... I finally came up with something that is sort of reasonable and pretty easy to pull off: Dark Edward Elric. I'm going to dress as Ed from FMA, only all in black. ^^; It'll be easy since I wear black on a regular basis...and most of all...I got my pocket watch and FMA bag in the mail today. *dances around the room* ^.^ The watch is exactly as I thought it would be, and the bag...is within standards. Its useful, I'm going to bring it to work tomorrow. No more carrying one sided! (My right shoulder will thank me.... ^-^)

The costume I'm thinking up will be black gloves, black pants, black shirt, the usual black vest that Ed usually wears (with the silver collar and trim...I'll be sewing that,) black hooded jacket (which I'll decorate with any silver chains I can find ^^;) completing the cosplay with my FMA bag, pocket watch and an Al plushie for effect. *grins* What do you guys think? Of course, my hair will be in a braid.... I'll be trying it this week and see how it comes out. *pulls out camera*

I know it's not that bad since they need money for bandwidth...but now the two top direct download sites on the net require money for downloads. (Time to update links.... >.<) This is retarded. Also...I still can't find "World's End" by EikiEiki...and I spent every 5 minutes between freakin' hotline calls to look for it. *reaches up to smack comp...and stop 'cause don't own the laptop* My own fault. Now, I'm scanlation-less, I'm pissed at the state of my clients and pissed (most of all) at my old church TARCQ.

There is crap going on at TARCQ. The adults are all insane and my generation has disappeared to let the adults duke it out on each other. The results so far is the leaving of the pastor...the one that was with this church when it started and when I was there over a decade ago. This shit is killing my senses...and I can't even bring myself to call any of my old church friends....

Who am I to talk? I left the church 2 years back so I can decompose into depression out where I live now. Not that my current fellowship is bad...it's just that I feel so disconnected from everyone. *sigh* Being angry makes me tired. You need alot of energy to scream in your mind and still have the ability to pick up the freakin' phone and say "Hello, can I help you?" Everyone's lives are crap...and I blame it on adults who don't think, don't care and think they're all that when they're full of shit.

Yeah, that goes double for males. It seems that when you have a 'Y' chromosome, you gain the stupidity gene and lost all hope for sanity. I'm going to go home now and sulk. XP

Halloween haunted update

I spoke with my god-sis and we went over some hidden details about the characters of the game. I discovered some pretty interesting things...which I would not put on the site in case any of you still want to play Xenosaga or watch the wonderful movies that o-nee-chan put together for me. ^^; Although I couldn't exactly figure all that out either...which just means I need to watch it again and again..and again. ^.^

After not sleeping last night, I was able to get up some choice pics for the my section on cosplay.com. It's nothing much because I'm still a newb at cosplay. ^.^ The pics listed there are the same ones in my hidden gallery.... I didn't take a lot of convention pics, so I'll be trying to put up more pictures from any personal photoshoots. (I need you P-chan! You're the best photographer! Pleeeeeaaaseee, lets get together and take pics of me! *vanity hits otaku* ^^;)

Still haven't decided on a Halloween cosplay yet. I want something original...yet recognizable...yet true to the Japanime fandom.... <.< I think I'm going to go eat breakfast now. I can't think coherently after waking from two nightmares and working late on my site. -.-zzz

In a previous post, I wrote about GWU's fandom course (which was pretty awesome as is.) Here, some fans decided to contact the professor and she replied to the many inquiries. She created the course from her own love of fanfiction. This class will encourage students to become active in the preexisting fandom community. Isn't that awesome? For a once obscure professor, she certainly gained alot of pocky points in our fandom. ^.^

'Gundam Seed Eternity' or 'ZAFT takes over the Weather channel'

Hee, hee...I love that 'Zaft' phrase. (It was taken from one of the responses of the fans on this topic.) Someone posted a rumor that Gundam Seed was coming out with a new season called, "Gundam Seed Eternity" (almost like the Sailor Star series crossover with Gundam. ^^;) It's hilarious to read down the cast of characters and discover the names of the two new gundams: Splasher Gundam and Celsius Gundam. I wonder if it's also pouring where the guy is. ^.^

I bought the FMA pocket watch and the bag! *dances in seat* It cost me about $44 for both items, but it was worth it since I get the replica of the watch and a nice bag. ^.^ Finally convinced myself...so happy....

Continuation of the 1 yr game....

I spent most of yesterday playing Kingdom Hearts. Yup, I haven't finished it yet ever since I started last year...around May or June. ^^; I'm taking my time, revisiting worlds, collecting items to synthesize increasing power, defense and AP. I finished the time trial Hades Cup and won the 'Save the King' shield for Goofy. *dances around the room* After this, I'm going to play FFX-2. ^.^

Future site updates....

I'm heading towards pro-graphics...but I'm still sketching. Also, I need more time to mess around with photoshop...not as familiar with it as I like to be. ^^; When I finish, the site will have more decor with some nice black and white pics.... I need to stay true to my theme, you know. ^.^

Back to Work!

Yay! I'm back at the office!!! *ppl stare* Yeah, it's weird, but I'm so happy to be back. No more sitting on my butt getting nightmares about work. ^^; I'll be staying late at the office since I'm picking up hotline tonight. No worries, I'm armed with my arsenal of meds and water. Of course, I also have my instant noddles and slim fast. (Although, I can't eat the noodles 'cause it's all spicy. ^^;)

Rubedo/Jr...kawaii!

Watching Xenosaga yesterday was quite enjoyable. I totally got into the music (all over again) and started searching for the mp3s I couldn't find last time. I stumbled upon this site calibur, a site dedicated to Rubedo. *fangirl squeal* It even has his image songs...which are definitely worth downloading and listening to. (Has a kinda flamingo, guitar type feel to it. ^.^) Also, there are indepth infos, profiles, explanations...everything about this kawaii chibi that is more than just his height. ^.^ *rushes back to work in order to get back to reading about Jr.* ^-^ Later, guys!

Not really, my position doesn't have the privledge of working at home. But at least I'm able to contact clients since my phone line is back. ^.^ (I consider contacting clients a good thing.... ^^;) Yup, with nothing else to do, the number of calls I made this morning equates to the number of calls I usually make in one day...which goes to show you how hard I work. ^^; j/k, I'm just lucky to be able to reach that many people...which usually takes me one day to reach. (Which goes to show you how hard other people work. ^^;) Okay, enough insanity...I have to make more calls. ^.^

FMA episode hiatus!!

I watched FMA until episode 35 (34? 36?) yesterday. I'm not going to go any further. I already watched the entire series...and I know the rest of them are going to get sadder and sadder.... *sniffle, grabbed a hankie* Instead, I'm rewatching my favorite parts of Xenosaga...which I'm not totally going to get into 'cause it also ends (for the time being) sadly. (Albedo...Rubedo...Momo! *cries*) I will be doing that, day dreaming, sleeping, eating and...*pause for effect* reading fanfiction! Something I haven't done in a long while. ^.^ *happy sigh* The old jokes...are still too funny.... rofl ^-^;

Post-recovery

I've been going on retreats/trips/GCs and whatever else independently since I was in *counts on fingers* 6th grade. *fanfare* And this is the first time I got sick during a trip. <.< Oh well...first time for everything. I blame the poorness of my immune system on workperiodlackofsleepmusicstress and of course...my poor eating habits. That is why I'm currently sitting at home in the afternoon, giving my update 3 days after the fact. Today is the first day I can actually see straight without sneezing, weezing and coughing...well, less of these things anyway.

And to the academy...

Before I continue, I feel the need to thank a few people: *gets on podium* CCF crew (especially the GM team) for being so patient and compassionate during my sneezy-coughy-feelingnotsowell-complaining moments during the retreat, my post-retreat driver, JC who drove me around in my mid-delirium state, Jen-chan who graciously let me annoy the hell out of her when she opened her house to me for a few hours of much needed TV watching/rest, and of course my co-workers at work who are now presently holding down the fort as I take some much needed Z's. *takes a deep breath* Arigato gozaimas!

What did I do this weekend? *scans the schedule* Lets see, I...slept, ate, took showers, GOT SICK, toasted marshmellows, climbed along a few rocks, SNEEZED A WHOLE LOT, rolled down a hill, tormented a few people, TOOK MEDICINE LIKE IT WAS MY LIFE, played keyboard, washed pots and of course had fun with my small group. ^.^ It was all fun really. I saw so many stars and even got lost (astronomically) trying to find a few constellations. I toasted marshmellows for me and a few lucky guinea pigs who ate what I burned on a stick. ^^; I can't wait to really get better so I can think about this week more clearly...without any dizzy-inducing meds....

Sick day

I'm too stressed out. I even dreamt that I went to work today...and I really wanted to go too...but I woke up dizzy. (>.< aiya...guess I'm sleeping in....) Anyway, I couldn't even go online since the stupid phone line was broken. (Please note that I'm using a past tense...meaning that these events occured in the past. ^.^) I couldn't even do any work/work at home since I need the phone line...but then, the repair guy came and I'm online once more. *cheers* Besides waiting for the phone guy to come, I got to rewatch FMA. *sigh* So happy...so sad...so confused. The anime I mean. ^.^ I started yesterday and now I'm halfway through the series. I hope I get the movie soon.... *hint hint to my sourses ^.^*

Whew, that was long. I think I'll go to bed now. (And later...more FMA!) ^-^
