The problem with our windows having the wrong patterns has been corrected. Around the middle of the month, the replacement windows arrived and after checking that they were correct (they were!), the installer replaced them all in about 2 days. The windows are now perfect! And no impact on the schedule; as promised.
Janet has been busy this month trying to make some final decisions about tile, granite and paint.

After testing several samples, it looks like we have our paint colors! |
Well ... Maybe not. |

The important thing is, we're making progress and the selections should all be made by the time the painters are ready to come in.
Finally, October is finishing up with one of the nicest surprises we could get at this stage: we put our existing home up on the market to sell and found a buyer who gave us a full-price offer the first day of our listing! It turned out to be ... our movers! Janet called to get a bid and when the woman found out the address, she and her husband came that night to see the house (both to buy and to bid on the move). They were really nice and even gave us a 10% discount on the moving bid for letting them see the house. It turns out they had been looking for a house ON OUR STREET! They're also willing to let us lease back the house until ours is finished (now scheduled for mid-December). We're still pinching ourselves.
