November was painting and tile month. Things slowed down a little bit because of the Thanksgiving holiday but it was a good month all around.
George and his crew spent about two and a half weeks painting the walls, trim and cabinets. In the end, we simplified our paint scheme with a single wall color and a separate trim color.
Oh yeah! Remember when we said the colors were picked, Yow! were we wrong. We went over around lunch on the first day of wall paint, walked in (with about 1/3 of the house painted) and saw YELLOW WALLS!! After a quick lunch run to the paint store with a sample of what's on the walls, we were able to get a color that was much better. George was very nice about the whole thing. He said this happens fairly regularly. Since we were able to decide so quickly, not much time was lost (only some more money for more paint).
Here is the paint work going on:

This month also saw the start of the tile installation. Randy has an execllent tile sub in T.B. his family of romanian craftsman. There was granite tile in the kitchen, limestone in the powder room, marble in the master bath and ceramic tile in the guest bath. This work will continue into December but the work is really good!
Finally, the last stucco coat, the color coat went on in November. George will be adding to it by painting the gutter line, front door and exterior trim bands.
Things are starting to slip a little. December's going to be hectic but it's looking pretty clearly like we won't be getting in before Christmas. We're keeping our fingers crossed for January.
