Magic
Author: Ness

Srjoki has mysterious powers. Bartho is impressed. Kakai isn't dead, she's getting better. Also featuring Srjoki's grandmother, a mysterious stranger and a lot of stamping feet.

The story moves forward by huge leaps. Between things happening and people explaining what just happened, the reader can get a pretty good grip on what's going on. The art is just ugly - if you're going to use templates, at least take some time to make them look human.

Magical Madness
Author: Toni
Artist: Toni

Also available at Toni's World

A boy wishes his life could become more exciting. It promptly does, in a way which involves two magical heroines (one of whom seems to have a crush on him), a Space Police officer, a catgirl and an obligatory Shadowy Anime Villian (TM).

An extremely fun story, which makes fun of various Anime clichees at every turn. The art is Toni's usual level of great, bordering on excellent, with very dynamic animations that make you feel almost like you're watching an actual show on TV (I couldn't help but replay the transformations over and over and over...). The voice acting is superb, the actors are very well chosen and add significantly to the "TV feel". Some of Hoshi's lines are recorded in a noticeably lower quality, but that's about the only complaint I have. :)
Buttercup's charged up and ready to KICK BUTT! Original Art Fanfic Magic Magical Girls Power Within Humor
Magical Warriors Powerpuff
Author: Katie J
Artist: Katie J
The Powerpuff Girls have had an easy time taking on the likes of Mojo Jojo, but now that they're up against magical enemies, their superpowers aren't effective (d'oh!). Fortunately for the girls, it turns out they're actually the reincarnations of three warriors of the past...

Wow...when I first read the words "Powerpuff Girls fanfic," I started becoming ill, as fanfics have a poor track record in Kamiland. I prepared myself for a world of hurting...and discovered to my pleasant surprise a well-written, if not slightly serious, story.

Toni's Thumbs Up
There's actually a fair bit of McCracken style humor in here(i.e. Blossom scolding Buttercup for swearing on cable TV). I was pleased to see minor characters from the show, such as Mitch, show up here, because it means that the author has actually watched the show, a step that many fanfic authors seem to skip in Kamiland. It's slow starting off in Chapter 1, but Chapter 2 really shows the potential of the story. And the biggest plus, the author is doing all the art herself! And she's very good at reproducing the style of artwork used on the show to boot. I love the attack names, which seem intentionally goofy ("Sucrose Pink Reform!"). This one is a real treat in a genre loaded with sour fics. I'll be keeping my eye on this one...

The perfect blend of comedy, suspence and a touch of darkness that makes Anime enjoyable is found right here. Add to it the frequent new chapters (althought not recently) as well as the very small file size and ask yourself why you haven't read it yet.
