Naaman’s story
A lesson for us!

Dear Parents,

This is a week we won’t forget in a long time. The events in New York and Washington have shocked the world. As teachers we have spent some time talking about the events and issues with the children and we have specifically prayed with them over this issue. We are always aware that children are good observers but poor interpreters and so we have taken care over how we have approached things.

We have really been blessed this week to see the Year 5/6 production "My Way or Yahweh". This involved a number of staff, parents and over 100 children. The quality of the production was excellent and a credit to the children and staff. I was very proud to see the way that the children rose to the occasion and once again the singing brought a lump to my throat!

A huge thankyou to all those parents who helped over the three nights and to all those who showed their support and enthusiasm by attending. These types of events are very important to the "health" of the school and help strengthen our school community. It’s marvellous to see God’s message conveyed in this way.

John Stackhouse.

Kidzwork…

We have some fantastic young writers in the school. Here are some samples of their work…

Anna brought a lamb to school and fed it. It liked the milk. The lamb was small and I liked it. The lamb was fun. The lamb was really fun. It wriggled its tail. The lamb hadn’t seen heaps of people before. I bet the lamb was happy to see all of us.

Ashleigh, Year 1, Room 1.

Tim came one day and we played Lego. He made a boat and his mum came. Daniel came and he made a robot.

Joshua, Year 1, Room 1.

Anna brought a lamb to school today. It was fun. My dad bought me a koala and a pencil and also a ruler and a toy elephant. Yesterday we went to the library.

Sophie, Year 1, Room 1.
