The forum can seem quite daunting upon the first few visits but it does not take long to get used to how it works. There are many sections that will be of use to all who visit and there are others which have a smaller selection of players visiting. Almost any type of topic can be up for discussion and it doesn't have to be all about the game either. The game section contains a number of boards devoted to new players, the game in general, clan headquarters to name but a few. Outside of this area we have boards that cover issues on real life (e.g. advice, music, current events) as well as an area for new ideas and game or forum support.
Scragger's navigation guide below will talk you through the basics of the forum and how to have a good time within it. It should certainly help newer players feel a little less lost!
In short, many people use the forum on differing levels. Some pop in and out, mainly sticking to their clan's headquarter thread, whilst others will read the boards almost in their entirety. Most people have favourite sections which they frequent but a good number of them visit the Apprentice Lords board and are always willing to help the journey into the forum, and becoming part of the Realm's community, go more smoothly.
If you've not done it yet then you should probably visit the Legend forum. For now you can follow some of the links here but in future it's worth noting that it's always easy to access the site from the game. Just click on the Legend Forum link which is listed in the main menu box at the top left of the Lords of Legend screen.
The LofL forum is divided into many different sections. The best thing to do is go in there whenever you have 5 minutes to spare and frequent yourself with the layout and the kind of topics you are likely to find in each section.
There are many experienced and friendly warlords who are only too happy to give up their time to answer your questions. To most of the LofL community the only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked!
Be warned once you enter the Lofl community you might never walk away from it.

You are now ready to peruse the forum and search out which sections interest you the most. A good place to start is 'The Realm':

Get to know the players behind the warlords in the Market Square.
Introduce yourself in the Apprentice Lords section.
Discuss gaming strategy in the The Grand Hall.
Find out more about the clans and families throughout the Realm in the Clan Headquaters.

And if you enjoy role playing then you can lose yourself in the Tales of Lore section.
These are to name but a few of the sections the LofL forum offers. In short, it has something for everyone! Take your time, look around, introduce yourself and above all enjoy becoming part of the LofL community.

Some information collected from the Lords of Legend forum. Apprentice Guide to the Forum provided by Scragger. Many thanks for your assistance and guides, Scragger!
There are a number of different titles in use in the Lords of Legend forum and they each carry their own specific significance. Some are rewards for competition or forum game wins whilst others are a measure of how active a poster someone is. Additionally, there are certain titles that carry a number of duties, such as those for the King & Queen and the forum moderators.
New: The forum titles now have accompanying stars to show 'rank' in the realm.

Posts and Rankings
Titles:
Immortal, Deity, Divine Lord & Dilettante
Immortals are forum and game administrators. Deities are the global moderators and Divine Lords are the board moderators of the forum. The newest additions, the Divine Dilettantes, are responsible for alerting the others to any problems that might arise in the forum or potentially the game. All of these titles hold a certain responsibility to keeping the forum and game at a 'G' rating level and hence keeping the forum family-friendly and fun for all. They are usually more obvious because their names are different colours in the forum. Clicking on 'forum leaders' in the forum will give you more information on who does what.
NB. If you have a problem with someone in the forum, you should contact the relevant board moderator or a global moderator, rather than the site administrators, and they will look into it further for you.
Titles:
Queen, King, Champion, Valkyrie
The holders of the above titles are nominated and chosen at the beginning of each game era or round. They are 'leaders' in the sense that they have been chosen (by vote) to lead the community and help with any queries that new players may have. A full list of their duties are posted in the Royal Court section and you can also find out more about them on the Royalty page of this site.
Other Titles:
Warrior of Legend
This title is given to someone who is believed to embody the spirit and good will of both the game and the forum. It is a nominated position that can be held by anyone after a little while on the forums as long as they stick to the spirit of things and treat others with respect, both in the game and the forum.
Titles:
Peasant, Vagabond, Magistrate, Count, Baron, Duke, Grand Duke
There are a number of titles that are based on the post count of forum members. The exact numbers can be found in the forum but it's best not to spam to get there as you'll often find your post count going back the other way if you get carried away and the moderators are tidying up. ;-)
Titles:
Poetry Competition Winner, Forest Vale Survivor, etc.
There are a couple of competitions that are run monthly in the forum (Art & Poetry) by one of the moderators and the winner is given the relevant title for the next month after winning. There have been, and will likely be again, a number of other games that have taken place throughout the game & forum's history (e.g. Easter Egg hunt and the Werewolves of Forest Vale).
