Testing Screen Shots

I ran Hot CPU for 6 hours, this shot was taken after about an hour. The case temp hovered around the 37->40 area, never went above 40 for the entire test. The CPU temp maxed out at 65 during the "Complex Matrix" Test and dropped a few degrees during the sorting and PI tests.

Straight after the Hot CPU test had finished, I put in a DVD - "Bad Boys". I thought this would be a nasty test as all that heat was still in the system, but within 10 seconds the CPU temp was down to 45 Degrees, then it kept dropping until it found a level of about 40,41,42 degrees playing the film. Even in the big end sequence of the film with things exploding/flying around the temp stayed at 42!

Trace from MBM5 at 30 second intervals over two hours. Using Winamp to play random mp3s. Case temp leveled out at 36 Degrees C and the CPU hovered +/- 1 degree around that.
Snapshot from the 7 & 1/2 hour encoding session. At the end you can see the temps drop right off. The Theater 550 does generate a lot of heat (even when it's not doing anything) which has raised my case temp by approx 5 degrees which has an effect on the CPU temps too, again a 5 degree rise when running at full tilt! Nothing to worry about tho.
