Love to Hate Him

Some bad guys do their thing so well you can't help but hope they'd win sometimes. Some villains are so good at it you sort of root for them the whole time, and when they lose (as they eventually must) you tend to feel for them. Let's just say that some antagonists are so bad they're good, and that they're sometimes better than the good guys.

For the purposes of this category, we define "villain" as anyone who goes up against the main characters, regardless of motivation. That way I can include some guys that wouldn't actually fit the classic "bad guy" definition.

Cool? yes. Likeable---well, he grows on you. He's real funny sometimes, you have to admit. But honestly, what a hentai!

          I suggest Taro-sama because he, like Kodachi, is one of the few true villains in Ranma 1/2... He has a screwed-up name given to him by a pervert father (Happosai, natch) who he has to defeat in order to get it changed. He never manages to get it changed in the anime, and Happosai refuses to change it in the manga. Because of his name, he can never have a girlfriend (shame) and he is ridiculed by the people who know the truth. If I had his problems, I'd go around endangering people's lives to get it changed as well! He repeatedly defeats Ranma and makes short work of the rest of the cast. He has the coolest laugh...and to top it all off, he has dreams of ruling the world. He is a guy that you don't want ot see fail, even though you know what will happen if he doesn't--but you still have to like him all the same.

          Rajura is the Gen Ma Sho (Illusion Demon General) of Arago in the Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. He looks as good as he is evil and he is one of Arago's most evil and second in command only to Shuten Douji whom he "lovingly" refers to as "red top" or "kid." Known for his prophecies, he is right nine times out of ten. He loves using his illusions to confound the heroes of the show and cause them to attack each other.
