Out of This World!

The guys on this page have only one thing in common: they AREN'T common. Two of them are demons, one's an ogre and the other is an alien...Joining them are another animal-demon cross, a plant-demon hybrid and a human-spirit-construct mix. Does that tell you anything about them? This is actually one of the more minor categories, meaning that the guys on the page fit in here better than they do anywhere else, even though they may actually be qualified "Men of Power" and suchlike. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS AS AN INSULT TO YOUR MAN. I simply felt that he was distinguished from the others by virtue of his, er--race? kind?

Anyways, I simply had to put them in their own category. Please tell me you understand? After all...these guys aren't ordinary human beings--why should they be ranked with them?

Not Quite Standard Disclaimer:
The images here were gleaned from many different sites--wherever I happened to see a good picture of the Leading Man in question...In some cases I had to chop him out of a bigger picture, brighten the image itself--anything to get HIS solo mug up there. If I'm using your image and you don't like what I've done to it, tell me about it and I'll take it out. Remember: all images here belong solely to their creators.

All guys are plugged in ALPHABETICALLY per page, and in the order I received the suggestions, to avoid the reams of hate-mail I can imagine for inadvertently maligning *your* Leading Man.

no one this cute can be wholly human--or real! WAI!
Chichiri
from the series Fushigi Yuugi

Okay! Okay! I'm really stretching it out, aren't I? Unfortunately for non-Chichiri fans out there, I couldn't envision the Leading Men without this blue haired mage. Sometimes, you wonder exactly how human he is--after all, not everybody can wear a smiley mask 24 hours a day.

In this category, the many-faced Chichiri shines through in one of his most beloved roles, that of the chibi super-deformed! No one completely normal could be that cute, could he? You can see more of Chichiri if you check out Chichiri's Webring No Da!

Inu-Yasha
Inu-Yasha
from the manga Inu-Yasha

Andrael says:
Inu-Yasha is from Rumiko Takahashi's latest manga series...He's the cutest little half-demon, with long white hair, fangs and adorable little doggie ears. Think of a cross between Kurama's youko form and Ryoga, and you wouldn't be far off. In terms of personality, he's sort of like a vicious demonic Ranma.

Isn't that a coincidence? We happen to love Ranma and Kurama in these parts. The manga must be worth a look-see...

Kagetsuya
Kagetsuya
from the OAV Earthian

jaimmie says:
Kagetsuya is an angel that's partnered with another angel named Chihaya (Chihaya is sooooo cute, but Kagetsuya is HOT!!!) Anyways, these angels come from the planet Eden, where their task is to give plus or minus checks to us, the "Earthians." If it ever reaches 10,000 minus checks, the angels will destroy Earth. Kagetsuya is the minus checker and Chihaya is the plus checker. Anyway, in the series, the end up learning a lot about Earth as well as about themselves...Er, I think I babbled long enough about that.

I'd never even heard of Earthian until jaimmie suggested this hunk, so I can't add much to this, but I will say the guy--sorry, angel is cute!

Yokho Kurama--Yummy!
Kurama
from the series Yu Yu Hakusho

He's the green thumb in the series, also the more sensitive spot. I briefly debated putting him in the Take Him Home to Momma page, but decided that he fit in much better here. He's much, much better in his demonform (yokho to the purists out there). What a foxy babe--quite literally ^__^

When he's not his nice human persona, Kurama is more forceful, more powerful, has more attitude--and is, over all, more appealing! And while his plants are a pretty cool way to fight, the ones he grows as yokho are fantastic! Kurama will think his way through a problem and solve it. Yokho Kurama will think his way through a problem then stomp it into the ground--a small, but telling difference.

I was reading up on Japanese folktales/mythology and found that the highest-ranked kitsune is the nine-tailed one--but Kurama only has 3!!! Does this mean my sources are wrong? Please, please be wrong!

Yomi - donated by Cardcaptor Sakura
Yomi
from the series Yu Yu Hakusho

Pike says:
I have yet to see this gorgeous guy in action, but I've seen the pics, and I know that if all else fails, I could love him from afar. =Þ However, while you could feasably put Kurama and Hiei in a human catagory (not to mention Yuusuke - remember his Raizen form?), I don't think you could do the same thing with a guy with six pointed ears and horns to boot....

I haven't finished YuYu Hakusho yet, so I'll reserve judgement till later. Yomi looks cool alright, and considering he's blind...!!! The image was prettied up and sent to me by Cardcaptor Sakura, bless her.
