Trace out a bottom
board at least 1/4" thick and cut it out.

Body finished. The
hashed out area is where the head will go and will need just
enough rasping to flatten for the head.

Scribe a pair of square
lines on the top and side to line up your pattern on. Transfer
the pattern and drill out a hole the size of the eye. (the Mike
Harde method) If you are not using glass eyes, drill a small
hole as a reference for eye location. Head patterns are on page
