Two of the best sites for travel links. (click on the icon):
Other links that may or may not be included in the above. Just some of my favorites.
Message Boards
Everything Ireland - Very friendly site. Has an unofficial "Master of Ceremonies", but is generally filled with comments from Ireland addicts.
Ireland Yes - Michele Erdwig is the "M.C." and others will comment also. Very good information here and very friendly. Michele markets her guide book (but not in a heavy handed way) from this site. Her book gets very high marks from it's readers.
Fodor's - Enter at your own risk. Sometimes great information but other times filled with comments from people who enjoy belittling others. Be careful of "Trolls" who purposely add misinformation because they have nothing better to do. Tends to get very political at times. Lots of flag waving.
Trip Planning
Ireland Yes - Michele Erdwig
Ireland Expert - Pat Preston
viamichelin - maps will provide driving times, though they may be a bit conservative. Their "hard copy" map is definitely one of the better ones.
General
Ireland and Things Irish - The mother of all Irish link sites. It's huge
Zozimus Ghost Tour - Dublin tour that is funny, scary and lots of fun. Includes lots of history of Dublin
Trish Loughman's site - Interesting info including a list of definitions of Irish place names
Temple Bar - nice map of the area
Take a Glimpse Ireland - Good discounts, but order it from Pat Preston's site. It's much cheaper through her.
Webcams - This is a list of Irish webcams. Some of the links are broken, but it is pretty comprehensive.
Accommodation - Group sites
Town and Country Homes - This is my favorite
The Definitive Travel Website Directory - Lots of links to B&Bs but many of them are from other group sites, especially Town and Country. Some links are still broken after T&C moved their server.
Accommodation - Favorite B&Bs (so far)
The Shores Country House - Beautiful house on the north shore of the Dingle Peninsula. We didn't stay on Dingle this trip, but this is still my favorite B&B in Ireland.
The Reefs - North of Dublin. Convenient to both Dublin and Newgrange and she lets you check in early to recover from jet lag.
Tahilla Cove Guesthouse - This is not a B&B. The offer a level of service similar to a hotel with the personal touches of a B&B. Definitely worth splurging on. The owners are wonderful and the location is tranquil and peaceful. Within easy reach of Kenmare, the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara.
Scaragh House - If for nothing else, the conversation with Patricia is wonderful. Beautiful home just outside of Cahir.
