Basedon the dates and location where Abraham was, I and some others have himas a son of Johannes. Until any other data is found to change this Iwill leave him this way. - Notes by Wayne Emehizer.

Abraham was lying on the ground about 10 feet from his brotherGeorge when a bullet pierced his body. George relates "I talked with hima few minutes after he was moved back a little. In the course of theconversation he gave me the assurance that if he died at that time allwould be well with him. Just then the firing began, and he said 'George,you had better go back to the front to your place and be sure to stand bythe old flag.'" Abraham was sent to Emery Hospital, Washington, DC anddied there on June 11, 1864.

George joined the 45th Penna Regiment, Company A leavinng home at 19years of age. I would assume his brother Abraham was with him as theyserved together until his brother was wounded on June 3, 1864 and wastaken to Washington DC where he died. They lived on the banks of MarshCreek, near the foot of the Allegheny Mountains, in Centre County, PAwhen he left home on August 7, 1862 to join the 45th. On September 4,1862 he reported to Company A at Brookes Station, VA. A complete writeupof George Emenhizer's military may be read in Personal Reminiscences ofthe War, Forty-Fifth Penna.
