![]() Welcome to Ferratu soil. This embassy is open to all, as you have passed through with neither arms nor ill will. Ours is a culture born from blood, forged in underground rock, and wielded upon an untamed, but gracious, fatherland. We've come far, and are glad to share our successes, and failures, with you. ![]() A little about Us Ferrata is a land of vast contrasts, and in many ways it seems like several different countries all in one. To the north are the great isles of Scios, treated by both tropical and arctic winds. Reaching like a bent finger in the east - from north to south - are the forbidding interior Krown Mountains, which still house the xenophobic tribesmen of the forbidden 10th House. To the southeast are great wadis and dry riverbeds, pockmarked by an ancient system of underground catacombs we call the "Udias". The southern lands of L'Sayda are replete with tube wells via Udias which provide water for villages and the goju palm groves far inland. To the west are the spicy-sweet smelling Amora incense gardens. And in the center are the lands of Solis, "The Cradle of Fiarria", with green tropical dunes swept by monsoon rains and vast grasslands that house brilliant lightglow butterflies. Four distinct seasons offer ever changing lifestyles for Ferratuus, especially those living in the Cradle: Summers are for boating, hiking, and sports; Fall is for harvesting, fairs and hunting; Winter is for skiing, trybal celebrations and religious devotion; Spring is for new life, fishing and planting.....to name a few....
Our nations abound with myths and fables, and a culture as rich as its host's resources. We practice philosophies taught to us by the Horns d'Udias, who, through their actions, demonstrated that precision and teamwork equal success...and that an unbeatable war lord can be slain by a monk's last gesture. ![]() |
