"Bringing Vexillum to Vexillum"
The tier is one of the oldest in Ferrata, having been formed less than two yahrs after the Ferratu emerged from The Udias. It was founded by the Mantlov Trybe, who followed the teaching of the Horn Regvek Mantolov. Horn Mantolov believed all things were possible through trade and creature comforts.
The gem "mino"
A sea-faring people before the Udias, the Ferratu learned to mine the underwater gem mino while living underground more than two centuries ago. Today, the stone is mined via prober subs and sub-mariners as their land-based counterparts do. The national currency, the lirpa medallion, is made in part from mino, and the gem is the staple of the Ferratu economy.
The gemstone is comprised of several minerals which, by themselves, constistute valuable but non-unique elements. Combined into one stone, though, those traits give minos not only extreme internatonal market value, but the power to harness and store energy for long periods of time. When stored cold, mino can keep the fully enclosive Vojak battle suits cooled for weeks in combat. On the broader civilian market, minos powers home refrigeration units for up to five days independantly from external power sources. It is also used to collect energy in mass quantities from Ferrata's solar energy plants and as portable energy units.
The gem, after many global studies, has been found to be exclusive to the waters of Nova Vexillum (NewVex) surrounding Ferrata.
Goju juice
Another high commodity for the Ferratu is "goju" juice. The juice is made from berries found in the palm grove forests of the Cradle Interior. It is collected by field workers by hand (technology could replace this collection method, but it is a practice well anchored - and honored - in local history).
Goju berries grow wild in Ferrata, and the manufacture of goju juice has become not only profitable, but ecologically necessary. The berry plants and cousin vines grow rapidly, and could overrun a three-story structure in less than 20 months.
The juice, depending on what level it is manufactured at, can be used either as a nutrient or as an intoxicant. The longer it is stored, the more fervent it becomes and the harder the alcoholic impact on the drinker. The effects of the juice, however, as a stimulant are contrary to other international liquors of choice in one definitive way: there are no "day-after" effects, as it breaks down into the blood quickly and contains few chemicals or unnatural preservatives.
Solar Energy
The solar and thermal energy production industry is also strong in Ferrata, but exports play a smaller role to internal economics. Almost everything, from air conditioning units to thermal water heaters to electrical power plants use solar, wind, and thermal power.
Ferrata's solar and thermal energy industry has spawned the massive Polaris Solar Power Facility project, which will, once completed, provide pollutant-free power to the millions living in Solstyce city, and the surrounding districts.
Industry experts have noted the large number of countries already solidly entrenched in the solar energy enterprise, and have advised Him against competing in such a wide international market at this time. While Ferratu technology in this field is second-to-none, but initial ``first-time'' costs are high. Expenses after installation of the minos-driven equipment, however, drop significantly with each year since that equipment is mostly self-supporting and requires little professional maintenance afterwards.
Amora incense
The smaller, more internally marketable amora incense trade has sprung up since Ferratu return to the Cradde. Amora incense, taken from special gardens installed in the shadow of Mount Krown's base, come from the spicey-sweet smelling Amorota plant indigenous to the continent of Fiarria. Once cultivated and prepared, the potent smell is reduced to a musky, wood-burned, almost balmy fragrance.
While many Ferratuus enjoy the smell of amora, and use it recreationally at home, the trade is supported primarily by members of L'Shayd's religious trybe. Monks burn the scent at various religious ceremonies, including weddings, "birth light" celebrations, and services held in honor of L'Shayd and The Higher.
Amorota grows wild in other various parts of Fiarria continent, travelers report. The incense, however, can apparently be found only in Ferrata.
