This
is one of the least populated areas in all of Qur-tayn. Here, the Gold
Dragons hold absolute power and welcome few. They prefer to remain in
deep study within the impossibly tall citidels they have constructed
with powerful magic and advanced metallurgy. The Citidel of Akalabeth,
named after the Jinatran patron Deity, is over a mile tall and allows
the Jinatrans to use its crystal ball to oversee the entire Jinatran
plain. The Citidel of Garmalhad overlooks the eastern coast, always
keeping an eye out for Glenneton ships sailing south to begin the war
the Gnolls seem so eager for.
Jinatra
is a nation of incredibly complicated and strict laws, and
many people who come here find themselves in legal
trouble. Only under extreme circumstances is any sentence
other than 'imprisonment' on Turah Lentay ever given. This
island prison is where Jinatran 'criminals' are
transported (usually magically) to live out the rest of
their lives. The only law on Turah Lentay is that no one
may leave. Little else can be said about the island
because visitors are strictly forbidden and the Jinatrans
censor anything written about the island's current
demographics.
On
a brighter note, their now patron deity Akalabeth
Huntravit Kellormenarn
long ago created the Golden Apple. This incredibly crisp
and juicy apple has a golden skin with shiny speckles and
a single one has both divine healing powers and incredible
nutrients. It is quite possible that someone living only
on Jinatran Golden Apples will not only live a healthy
life, but will outlive most of their race. The Jinatrans
closely guard the secret to this wonderous fruit even
though attempts to grow the fruit from seed in other
countries has failed. Turah Lentay also has a nearly
limitless supply of this fruit so that the inhabitants
needn't battle for resources -- so say the Jinatra Gold
Dragons, anyways.
