The Clergy Guild

The Guild's Philosophy
The Royal Order of Chivalry borrows some basic costuming ideas from the Medieval age. Because the only church in existence during the time period represented by the Royal Order of Chivalry is the Catholic Church, the Clergy Guild uses a friar’s tunic. It is not the intent of the Clergy Guild to represent Catholicism, or to use it’s liturgy and ornamentation. Instead, the Clergy Guild borrows the basic friar’s tunic, and builds in another direction for the remaining portions of the Guild’s costuming, motivation and structure.

Through encouragement and support of those seeking ministerial status, the goal of The Royal Order of Chivalry is to expand the ranks of the clergy.

The official title of Master of the Clergy Guild is Chancellor. The Clergy Chancellor is placed in authority over a state. The Chancellor is appointed for a four-year term. This appointment is made by the Head of State.

The Grand Chancellor of His Royal Majesties Realm is his Grace Archduke Sir Stalwart "The Oaken-heart Knight" of Templestone. He was appointed by His Royal Majesty Prince Jonathon of Leon.
