She doesn't go to Shino's funeral nor to the 49th day ceremony. She wants to forget all that has happened and start afresh. Ryusui, however, is still agonizing over things. The public scandal of his association with a woman who had plastic surgery causes the school executives to ask him how he is going to regain his credibility. Itehara speaks as an advocate for his daughter, saying that if Ryusui marries Aoi all the fuss will just disappear. He says that Ryusui must show his ability at the approaching flower arrangement exhibition. The school executives tell Ryusui that if he can't get his act together he (should leave the Fujishima school and hand over the instructors and students. Things aren't going well for Ryusui and his exhibition entry. And, Isaki, his only relative, has moved out of the house and is living on her own in a hotel. Ryusui picks up his cell phone and glances at Honami's phone number, but then dials Isaki's number and asks her to come back home. Later, Junichi and Ruriko come over. They apologize for the trouble Honami has caused, but say that they want Ryusui to know that Honami meant it when she said she loved him. Then, a bit later, Honami herself comes over to his studio. Ryusui says he wants to throw away his scissors since he can't work with the agreed-upon flowers. But Honami says that they've both lost their sense of identity, and that people have to be true to themselves. Afterwards, Ryusui uses iris, the flower he wants to arrange, and completes his exhibition entry according to his own preferences. Now he is ready. For Ryusui it's the fateful day. And Honami also decides it is her own important day. With suitcase in hand, she tells her family she will be away for a while and heads for Narita Airport. Her secret decision will stun her family and Ryohei.
