She feels relieved and confident of her decision to forget Ryusui. She begins looking for rich men in the piles of photos of prospective mates. But, what Honami really wants is for Ryusui to believe that she's given up on him. She opens the campaign by telling Isaki not to tell the news about an arranged marriage to her brother. Isaki realizes perfectly well what is going on and helps Honami by passing on the information. Honami thinks she must see Ryusui just one more time and goes to see him. Ryusui agrees to meet her for a last date at 7:00 at the flower shop where they first ran into each other. Honami is on cloud nine about this and thinks, "Maybe he still cares!" and feverishly starts picking out underwear. Ryohei and the others are thoroughly disgusted. But Ryusui doesn't show up for their date although Honami waits the entire night. Juni'ichi makes the wrong inference from her early morning return and greets her with anger. Ryusui, in fact, had spent the night at his studio working on the display for the day's opening ikebana show, greatly pained by fact that he had to break his promise to see Honami. Although Honami had waited, she hurts him further by boldly saying she didn't show up either. This time it is Ryusui who comes over to Honami and forcibly takes her out on a date. And then it's Honami's turn to take out Ryusui in return for such an enjoyable date. He agreeably goes along with the woman who makes him laugh.
