I'd rather be

In the melancholy sadness I think
I'd rather be a freight train
better than being insane
Or I'd rather be a sign post
better than being french toast
I'd rather be riding on the train tracks
better than being a coat rack

-Chris

Tree Haiku

There was a pine tree
who's branches were really free
until they fell off

-Jeff

Slinky

A silver coil wire
Flipping over and over
As it seems to soar
It goes Down, Down, Down
The slinky on the escalator

-Derrick

Ode To Stop Signs

Stop signs are big and red
without them we would all be dead
When you pull up to an intersection and see the word STOP
we know if you don't we'll be chased by a cop
Stop signs are loyal and true to me
their big white letters say S-T-O-P
Yes, stop signs are great, they bring joy to my heart
oh would I love to meet the man
who created this work of art

-Mark

x!

My list of jobs
was finally down to nothin
Out of boredom I began
exploring calculator buttons

The number presently
on the the screen was increased
The doubling of the number
seamed to never cease

After a bit or pressing
the button was a bore
The calculator stopped
and finally read: ERROR

-Derrick

"A" Team

I watched in reverence as they played
and I saw the buckets that they made
I watched as Jeff drained the three
and Jason hit J's as I could see

Mark got one board after another
while Jason and Jeff passed to each other
But what about Tike, the smallest of all?
he'd run up behind you, and steal the ball

There's one thing I must say before I die
These guys are the best, of that I can't lie

-Chris

The Undescribable Poem

I was sick of writing
these serious rhymes
so I wrote this poem
to change the times

I wanted to be weird
like I used to be
so I wrote this poem
that you will soon see

This poem is weird
It should be that way
and you will notice
cause I will soon say

This poem doesn't
make sense to me
even you won't get it
as you will soon see

I can't write this poem
at least not now
I'm not in the mood
and I don't know how

-Jason
