Distance

I place my heart in your hands.
Seems to be the only thing to give you,
To make you understand.

Words, to me, are fleeting
And soon can pass, someday
But my heart in its entirety
Can never fade away.

These unspoken words,
Whisper a thousand things.
We've become helpless in our thoughts
And the feelings that they bring.

But should we ever meet,
I know that to see you, would be all I need.
There'd be no words,
Yet our silence would scream.

Sometimes the feelings of the heart
Cannot be described.
There just aren't any words, to express what's inside.
So, I place my heart in your hands
For you to decide.

The Perfect Day

Crystal waters
And changing leaves,
Blue skies
And a warm breeze...

This would be a perfect day
In a perfect world
But, alas, it's just not that way
Because I am not your girl.

Just for a moment,
If my wish came true
I would make life
Perfect for you.

But the clock is ticking,
On life in this world
And you won't have me,
As your girl.

There's nothing for me to do.
It is finished; it is through.
And I guess I'll never live to see
The perfect day in a perfect world.

Where Are You Going?

If you are searching for places unknown
Then come and hear His word.
It was written on a stone.
It's been called The Greatest Story Ever Told
Yet many who are searching, are left out in the cold.
There's no one there to tell them
About the things to come
Many who have listened, are now becoming numb.
We're all soldiers in a war
That's already been won.
But when the gate to Heaven opens,
Life on Earth will soon be done.
When we're standing on that day
To be seated at our place,
Will your name be on the list,
To see God face to face?
This is your invitation
To accept your salvation.
Come and join our celebration
At the feast of every nation.
Now I'll ask you but one thing,
While the Earth is only slowing
Before it's too late-

Where Are You Going?

Peace

Rays of sun
Pierce through the clouds,
Filtering down to earth.
They remind me of God's fingertips
Gently caressing His work.

The sky is a marble of color,
As the sun sets in the west.
Tomorrow will be a new day,
So forget your sorrow and rest.
