Welcome to the Club Seattle chat channel. But first, we hope you read our rules. The channel entry link is right below our short list of rules.

These rules are intended to make the channel more fun for everyone, not just to tell people what to do. We don't like rules either, but we do like fun.

We expect you to follow the standard TalkCity rules, with these additional (or modified) rules:

• No rudeness or harassment.
• No one-on-one chats without permission.
  We can't stop you from doing this, but we can ban you from the channel if you do it too much.
  Exception:  You can send operators messages about operator business without asking first.
• Adults only (or mature minors, with parent or guardian approval).
  We have no way of enforcing this, so it's on the honor system.
  By "adult", we mostly mean "grown-up", rather than "not suitable for minors".
• Adult language is permitted.
• There is a line between "adult" and grossly explicit.
  We don't want the language getting horribly offensive.
• Spammers get kicked without warning.
• Don't try to read these rules like they were some kind of legal document. They're just our way of trying to keep things fun.
• Be nice!

If you read both our rules and TalkCity's rules, you'll find that our rules are more strict about some points (rudeness, one-on-one requests, spamming), and less strict about other points (mainly "adult" content).
