Records and Milestones
Official SJS Picks Contest data goes back to 1996. Most official statistics were not introduced until 1998, however. Furthermore, there was no
database prior to 1998, when Steve St. John's Picks Page Creator was first programmed. Adding to the historical confusion, the database changed
drastically prior to the 2000 season. The database now records every pick every week, making it possible to recreate the entire picks season years
after the fact. Unfortunately, records from 1996-1999 are incomplete. These records and milestones only reflect official statistics unless otherwise noted. When the record or milestone is obtained by a non-human player, the best result by a human player is also given. A second result is also
sometimes given for percentages if the record-holder did not have a lot of attempts.
