Native File Format		Zugeordnetes Format		The format in which a particular program saves a file. The file is saved with certain key characters or codes that tell the program about the different display options associated with the file.
Natural Language		Natürliche Sprache		This is a language such as English, German or French etc. rather than an artificial language such as C++, Basic etc.
Near Letter Quality		Nahe Buchstabe Qualität		This is a mode of operation for Dot Matrix Printers where characters are produced at typewriter quality. This mode is no longer in use due to new technology of laser printers and inkjet printers, whose output are faster and quieter.
Network		Netzwerk		This is the connection of a large number of terminals or computer systems by data communication lines. It may consist of two or more computers that can communicate between each other. Networks differ for personal computers according to scope and size. LANs- local area networks are to connect a small number of computers to enable them to use a peripheral device. Large systems use WAN- wide area networks, and use telephone lines or similar media to link together.
Network Administrator		Netzwerk Administrator		The person who is in charge or controls the Local Area Network assisting users and ensuring the correct software is used.
Network Interface Card		Netzwerk interface karte		An adaptor card that allows networking cable to be directly connected to the computer.
Network Operating System		Netzwerk funktionierend system		The operating system that is used as a controller for all network components.
News Group		Nachrichten gruppe		A group of online users who use the internet to discuss similar interests and topics.
Node		Stelle die die Übertragungssignale empfängt und weiterleitet		A connection point that joins two devises, such as the joining of a network to a workstation. The workstation is the node of the network.
Noise		Lärm		Static that is caused by electrical interference and that can reduce the effectiveness of data communications.
Non-Impact Printer		Tintenstrahldrucker		Text is produced on paper without contact between the printing mechanism and the paper. Examples of these are inkjet , bubble jet or laser printers.
Notebook Computer		Notizbuch computer		A computer that is generally more compact than a lapop computer. They are not very practical for long-term use however are useful for mobile phone users.
Null Modem Cable		Null Modem Kabel		This connects two computers without the use of a modem. These are often used to transfer files from a mobile computer to a desktop machine at an office to ensure that information is exact in both machines.
Numeric Format		Numerisch format		This in a spreadsheet, is the display of a number through the use of the numeric format command. A variety of ways to display the number can be used for example as a date, time , currency, with decimals or without etc.
Numeric Keypad		Numerische Tastatur		A section on the computer that allows numbers to be entered in an easy format.
Num Lock Key		Tastenfeldsperre		A specific key on the keypad that when pressed fixes the keypad to numeric format rather than the optional controls or characters.
