For Non-Muslims

The Wisdom of Islam:  For People Who Think and Reflect is the Internet edition of a well-received introductory booklet on Islam which I wrote while I was in college.  Make sure to check it out!!

God Probably Exists  The mathematical laws of probability prove to us that God exists.
(Under Construction)

The Inevitable Event is the Fifty Sixth Chapter of the Holy Quran.  Get ready for a roller coaster of emotions, as you read what Allah has said regarding the Day of Judgement and Afterlife.

Towards Understanding Islam:  A series I worked upon when I was in high school.  Includes topics such as

Does God Really Love You?  "For God so loved the world..."  Divine affection is such a preoccupation with Christians, I did some research to see what the Quran says about it.

Where did Christianity Come From?  An article originally written by an anonymous non-Muslim, to which I have supplemented my knowledge.  A must-read!

Jesus Christ:  An Islamic Perspective  Christian opinion varies considerably regarding the supposed patriarch of their faith:  some Christians contend Jesus was God, while others do not!  This page offers a summary of the Quranic understanding of his life and mission.  Biblical references have been provided to prove to our Christian friends that the Islamic interpretation, though radically different, deserves their serious consideration.

A Truth Seeker's Guide to the Holy Bible  Want to write a book?  Well, here it is, the 63 page project I simply do not have the time or energy to finish:  my first book.  This file is a veritable
gold mine, except that it's all in note form.  Download it and see what I mean!  (46K zipped file, contains an MS Word 97 document)

The Quran Speaks Out Against Oppression:  Selected verses from the Holy Quran which should help explain the pro-active position adopted by many Islamic groups.  Islam does not condone the killing of civilians and non-combatants, but fighting evil has a very important place in Islam.

What is a Muslim Like?  One should probably know before becoming one!

For Muslims

What Doess a True Believer Do?  <WRITE/STRIVE.DOC> (p.89)

Tips to Fasciliate a Sunni or Shi'a Self Discovery:  The Sunni-Shi'a issue can be blown out of proportion by ignorant people.  Rather than argue the legitimacy of one side or the other, we should adopt the stance taken by Islamic leaders such as Imam Khomeini, Abul A'la Maududi, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Muhammad al-Ghazaali (
al-Misri), etc.:  that both Sunnis and Shias are legitimate Muslims.

Islam After Bosnia:  An Invitation for Reflection and Action:  This article was first published by the Irvine Student League of Associated Muslims (I.S.L.A.M.) at the Anaheim (California) Convention Center on the 'Eid of 1993.  Back then we were heavily influenced by the Hizb ut-Tahreer.  The article argues that our Islamic energies are wasted by writing letters to the President.  Here's my 1998 addendum:  campaigns to vote Muslims to Congressional office are premature (if not futile) given the economic and organizational state of affairs of most Islamic institutions today...a.k.a., we need to give some serious attention to an Islamic infrastructure in America before we take on the world!  The alternative to squandering our money to gain respect and recognition, is to build tight Muslim neighborhoods and communities.
