(recommended once a week to once every two weeks or when dirty) what you will need: 1 washcloth 1 bottle of baby tearless shampoo 1 toothbrush 1 container to hold fresh water (a cup will do) optional Vitamin E capsules and a pin giving your pin cushion a bath fill the sink a few inches high with warm water (make sure it's not too hot!!) fill the container with fresh water put your hedge in the water with your hands, make sure water is all inbetween the quills squirt a little baby shampoo onto the toothbrush and scrub the quills with hands, wash the underbelly rise off the hedgie by pouring the fresh water from the container on him or her (you may have to refill the container a few times to completely rise off the hedge) dry your pin cushion off in the washcloth when everything is done, some like to poke a hole with a pin in a vitamin E capsule and put some drops on their hedgies so their skin doesn't dry out (3 on the back, one on each shoulder, one on the rump) (Note - hedgies tend to poo in water) |
