The Uninvited Guests in Posters
1983-1989

Exhibit 1: The Plaza Days, 1986-1989

>>> "In Search of Fabled Lands." The Plaza, now a Chinese restaurant in Clifton, provided The Guests a steady venue beginning in late 1986. Tuesday nights at the Plaza became an opportunity to try out and even create new material in a casual atmosphere with a friendly, if thin, crowd. (Photocopying and hand-lettering by Bob)

<<< "Captain Morgan Pirate Party." This was the second time The Uninvited Guests performed in a pirate-themed show. With the help of Crazy Pete, a stage set and prizes were pulled together from abandoned props in the attic of the Plaza. The prize for the evening, which went to the fan with the best pirate costume, was a broken Captain Morgan's spiced rum clock. (Photocopying and hand-lettering by Bob)

>>> "t. u. g. with special guests Brian Brain." This poster was a simple way of trying to express the theme "Look, we are playing with someone important. We must be good!" This is the show at which the legendary version of "Space Age Clam Bake" was performed. (Photocopying and hand-lettering by Bob)
