get aroused over anyway.
Countdown
(Pink Pineapple / SoftCel Pictures)
Based on the works of Hiroyuki Utatane (which had been released through
Eros Comix). Two stories that feature Jun Nakatani as she crosses
paths with random people and uses her "extra equipment" on them.
Two more stories set in times of fantasy; one about a swordsman who
saves a princess and ends up biting off more than he can chew, and
another about a sex-crazed maniac ruining the peace and quiet of an old
Japanese city. Fans of Utatane's work should have this classic.
The Elven Bride
(Pink Pineapple / SoftCel Pictures)
The standards of "hot, nekkid elf sex" had risen above said elf merely
being a happy housewife. Sure the show was a nice, refreshing
change
from the constant "La Blue Girl does Urotsukidoji" fanfare. And I made
a joke about it being some continuation of that Parn/Deedlit thing in
the Lodoss War saga. But here the gloss paint's just losing its
shine.
F3
(Pink Pineapple / SoftCel Pictures)
There are lots of times when Mother Nature's not on your side.
One of them's when she says that "you can't come." And this is
what happens to poor Hiroe, our main heroine of "Frantic, Frustrated,
and Female."
My favorite of this hentai OVA is the last part where a horny male
spirit answers her call and possesses her. After this point,
things get messy. But the show does get for fulfill our fantasy
of doing it with a slutty-looking exorcist (hitting on themes of
Ghostsweeper Mikami and Phantom Quest Corp). Even if said
exorcist has... ...what the posessed Hiroe's having...
Five Card
(Five Ways / NuTech
Anime)
Five Card is one of the latest hentai OVA's to appear from out of
NuTech's backroom dealings; featuring the ever-popular "back to school"
theme. Daina is the handsome young English teacher who has his
eyes set on four young ladies who are in his class. But while he
gets his thing on with his assistant teacher Mayu, the dean Onikuma
wastes no time in utilizing his power to turn some of the female
students (including some of Daina's) into prostitutes.
This series is what happens if you mix a show like Lunatic Night with a
show like Shusaku. It's CG (although not as forceful as something
like Vandread) and plays itself out too long during the sex
scenes. The girls herein are pretty much token and some of them
are air-headed. Daina's listed as a "potential" savior, but he
mainly screws around. He is right to say that "women should be
loved and not drugged." Atleast the bad guy herein gets it in the
end for biting off more then he can chew.
Immoral Sisters
(Pink Pineapple /
NuTech Anime)
Glossy animation and hardcore sex makes Immoral Sisters something to
watch. The only drawbacks are the idea that Nogawa, that old
bastard who's the chairman of the girls school board, is running around
popping cherries like an orchid farmer. The second drawback is
Takato, the equally bastardized son who blackmails Yukie into having
his way with her. Nevermind that he's chasing after her
stepdaughters (Rumi and Tomoko) and had already proclaimed his love to
the "random blonde" Yumi; all of which Nogawa had already popped the
cherries of.
Karen
(Five Ways / NuTech Anime)
I'm actually a fan of "sports noogie." It's in an area where
Angels In The Court just doesn't deliver, but it suffers the drawback
of being a "blackmail" theme. It's mainly a bout between Ryo (the
tough female lead) and Dojima (her sleazeball assistant). The
show's nearly unbearable to watch until it starts looking really good
(starting from the female cheerleading squad). The art and
animation looks like it's done by two studios. What's up with
that? It's avoidable, like the guy said, but it'll tie you over
until NuTech starts picking up some more serious "sports" titles.
Koihime
(Pink Pineapple / NuTech
Anime)
Ah...! A story about the magic of Japanese folklore and princess
nookie. Musashi (a young man whose hormones are on overdrive by
the way) visits his childhood home in the countryside. And he's
greeted by 4 women who used to play with him. One by one he gets
it on with each women (as guys who think between their legs usually
do). But a dark storm looms over the village as the parents of
these girls get angered over a "broken taboo" and the failing politics
of polygamy (as harem-themed shows usually do). It doesn't help
matters that these 4 ladies are demons that represent each of their
clans.
Koihime is one of the few hentai titles that set the standards when it
comes to "wholesome hentai:" No S&M, no bondage, and no
tentacled beasts (even though you might have some demons herein).
The sex is mainly consensual guy-girl with its fair share of "extra
goodies." But it's mainly plot-driven; focusing on the mysteries
of the place and why our male protagonist doesn't remember the ladies.
Magical Twilight
(Pink Pineapple / SoftCel Pictures)
Another short OVA from Softcel about the trials and tribulations of
witches gone to Earth. Two witches have to make some average guy
happy in order to pass an exam to get a license. Unfortunately
for Tsukasa (who has his own exam to pass), he's not all for it.
Everyone's either trying to kill him or screw him. My wish is
that it had more cheesecake and cream filling. Can we have a
sequal, Pink Pineapple?
MeiKing
(Vanilla Series / Critical
Mass)
Cain Asbell follows a stray sheep into a cave; thereby releasing a
fairy from a vase. This lowly shepherd ends up becoming a lord of
Norland. And he has to make that land the most profitable within
a five year stretch if he wants to marry Princess Charlotte.
Included in the mix are the elven advisor Chiffon, the samurai Tsubaki,
rescued slave girl Tia, roughneck bandit leader Sandra, rivalling
Tedmond's pretty-boy-from-hell Francis, and Anne, the Dwarf Ambassador.
There's a reason why this show belongs to the "Vanilla Series."
It's got enough white, sticky, flying "vanilla" to be NC-17, but it's
mainly a romantic RPG. The art switches from "Pia Carrot" to
"Koihime" between episodes 2 and 3. And it's so good that not
even The Right Stuf's "dubbing streetteam from hell" can dampen its
mood.
Office Affairs
(Pink Pineapple / Kitty
Media)
Ono believes he has a problem... After gaining a better job as
some publishing firm, he starts lusting after his boss, Sugiyama.
And even though he's happy with his girlfriend and fellow employee Rie,
he has an affair with his boss. But his male instincts get the
best of him and he ends up being pulled into Sugiyama's perverted and
depraved world.
My only complaint about this show is that Ono does too much of his
overshadowing thoughts. The sex scenes are quite graphic though;
straight male-female and a verbally degrading gangbang (with the
background music going for broke here). The art is something that
Benkyo Tamaoki (the artist behind The Sex-Philes) probably did.
Otherwise, it's a nice piece of work.
Space Opera Agga Ruter
(Pink Pineapple
/ Anime 18)
There was a joke that originated from the Tenchi Muyo Fanfiction
Archive. "In order for AIC to make more money, they sold the rights to
some hentai porn corporation..." or something like that. From
then on we have this hentai series, along with Masquerade, from the
creators of Tenchi Muyo.
This series starts itself out like a B-movie; utilizing cliche anime
types and putting them to perverted uses. Everything switches between
seriousness, fun, and taboo. It's not as fetishy and graphic as I
liked it to be. ("You're not a true man if you don't fantasize
over doing a female pirate, captain, or security officer.") But
where else can you find out about the magical properties of the "naked
apron."
Sex Demon Queen
(Pink Pineapple /
Kitty Media)
This hentai adventure is rather incomplete since only one show had been
made. It speaks of five female warriors; but we only get to meet
two, introduce a third, and get all hot over the over-excitable "titled
enemy" of this show. And then we have a whole bunch of muscular
guys (who all look the same) jump into the scene in hopes of saving the
day and instead getting offed.
The animation is CG; being one of the more recent hentai anime.
And we guys get to see a lot "heaven" when either 1): the three
heroines go into some lesbian action and 2): Amabire attacks them with
her tentacled demon monster dogs. And it's by AIC. You'd
think these guys over there would at least do "part 2" of this.
Tokio Private Police
(Pink Pineapple /
Kitty Media)
Patlabor, Dominion Tank Police, whatever. A hentai series about a
team of police officers and the mecha they drive is something to take
notice of. But the main feat is how differently the characters
react. Like when two of the characters jumped into an instant sex
scene; the others didn't follow for their own personal reasons.
And while the show plays along as some sort of "episode 1," the
interaction between the six officers seem to be the highlight.
The sex is in graphic detail; mainly guy-girl, one girl-girl, and a
rape scene at the beginning. But like the man said, the other
half of the battle is the battle itself.
Welcome to Pia Carrot 2
(Pink
Pineapple / NuTech Anime)
Pia Carrot is basically a romantic comedy about a hormonally-challenged
guy and how he interracts with the ladies in the restaurant. The
object of the dating game (which the series is based on) is for one of
the girls to fall in love with him. And someone else said that
Pia Carrot would make a great love-love comedy if most of the naughty
bits have been taken out. I disagree, though, as the sex is
consensual and portrayed as a "reward" for the male lead's kind heart.
A note about NuTech and how they release the hentai anime here: I
came across some people who are not happy with their works being
expensive and only 30 minutes worth on each disc. They also state
how poor the acting of the featured adult porn stars are. My
flipside to it is that there might _be_ a good reason for all
this. Or else we wouldn't get so much from Pink Pineapple; who
just happens to be the chief provider of hentai anime towards NuTech
Digital.
