Gundam Wing: Type Four |
Who or what was responsible for the unexpected death of Ventrali Gorrs? When the true enemy finally reveals itself, will even the combined power of Earth and Eden be enough to stem the tide? |
Type Four tackles an issue that I came across several times in my Ethics courses in college; cultural relativism. What is considered right and just in one society may be absolutely abhorrable in another. The three races in Type Four experience that sort of cultural shock. All three are striving to do what is best for them, but sometimes at the expense at other two. The struggle in Type Four is finding a common ground that everyone can agree on. Another topic I explore in Type Four is that of duty. What would you do if you find your ideals matching one side of an argument, yet your duty binds you to another? Upholding one's word and promises may SEEM like the path to take, but it becomes harder to follow if your heart leads you down another path. If your lose something dear to you regardless of how you turn, do you really win anything? Can anyone be expected to make such a decision, and how would such decisions affect how others view you? Initially, I had planned that Aelan and Talor would not have a very good son to father relationship. However, that premise of strife between family members had become so overused, that I edited the plot line. Besides, it made for a much better story that way... |

Episode 25: Sins of the Father. Aelan's father, Talor, now free of Eden's underground prison, takes control of the Eden society. However, he seems to have liasons which are less than friendly, evident when Eden attacks the Fold relay system of Earth. |

Episode 30: Wrath of the Xerobim. Talor warns that the battle is far from over. Now that the Xerobim's attempt at subterfuge has failed, they intend to attack with due force. |
Episode 31: Promises of State and Family. When the Xerobim finally play their hand, things look very bleak for the Earth Sphere, until the appearance and aid of a most unlikely ally. |
Episode 32: A Brief History of Humankind. A plan to target the Xerobim with one decisive strike leans heavily on an unorthodox belief, that humanity didn't originate on Earth... |
Episode 33: First Contact. The assault on the Xerobim begins, relying on a desperate gambit to put the North Am Elite Unit past the Xerobim's superior defenses. Can Aelan pull the trigger with his own father's life in the balance? |
