Gundam Wing: Type Three
Type Three is unlike Type Two in some obvious ways.  First and foremost, there is no obvious villian this time around.  At first, Calnus seems to be such, but then one realizes that there is some rationale to his behavior as more and more of his past and his culture becomes apparent, as well as a realization that he is somewhat honorable, in a strange way.  Ventrali Gorrs then seems to be another good candidate for the villian's role, but it becomes clear that he is more disillusioned than evil.
Secondly, the character Kiron makes an appearance, back from the dead so to speak, and radically different than he was in Type Two.  He is quieter, less arrogant.  This time, Kiron represents something more than my darker persona.  He becomes a personification of redemption.
What could be more damaging to ideas that you are some form of divinity than to be reminded of your mortality?  The striking realization that he is as prone to death as any other person take an incredible toll on how Kiron views the world around him.
However, the main theme of Type Three is responsibilty.  Can we be responsible for the actions of others?  If so, at what point does OUR responsibility for others end?  At what point does the excuse, "It was because of this, that I did this" falter, or is it even a valid excuse to begin with?
This series explores those questions, and I eventually show my opinion on the topic.  While it is important to understand that the things we do will affect those around us, it is also important to realize that only we are responsible for what we do.
Episode 13: Changes in the System. Aelan recruits a new member, and Relena joins the party in North Am.  What is so important that Relena is working until the mightnight hour, and what in the heavens is she eating?
Episode 14: Until Death do us Part. A discovery in Antartica causes quite a commotion as Aelan announces his bid for re-election as Advisor.  After a not-so-comfortable run-in with Admiral Noin, Aelan gets a late night visitor who has some serious questions.
Episode 15: Wounds of the Heart. A light break from the stress of officework turns into a nightmare as an unknown assailant attacks.  Can Heero arrive in time to be of any help?
Episode 16: Old Friends become New Friends. With Relena on the brink of death, the last person anyone would expect to save her life comes out of hiding.  Kiron tries to salvage the life of Relena and her unborn child, and reveals why he returned to Earth.
Episode 17: A Bloody History. Aelan gets a crash course in the forgotten past of his race, as well as the true reason his wife is killed.  Meanwhile, Calnus returns, hellbent on finding the Advsor.
Episode 18: Heero's Desire for Revenge. Upon Aelan's return, he plans Noin's rescue from the clutches of Calnus.  However, Heero's unseen anger is reaching almost psychotic levels, and comes to a boil as Aelan and himself face off against the Carean general.
Episode 19: And it was Called Commadore Eternal. North Am dutifully upgrades their mobile suits in anticipation of a rematch with Calnus.  As the battle begins, Aelan unveils arguably the most potent weapon to date, the Eternal System.
Episode 20: The Monster called Jealousy. Overwhelmed through use of his newest mobile suit system, Aelan lies comatose while Noin receives a message from someone claiming to be Aelan's dead wife.
Episode 21: The Beginning of the End. Aelan recovers from his state, to be thrust into the heat of battle once again.  Her ruse discovered, the woman who would be Yeara initiates a battle in which Aelan is forced to use the Eternal System once again.
Episode 22: Family Ties. Under the watchful eye of North Am's Elite Unit, Kiron tries to talk some sense into his brother Ventrali.
