Siemax Echo-7
DREADNOUGHT |
The Echo-7 is the cutting edge in mass
destruction. Considered the most powerful single ship available at the moment,
the Echo can decimate systems, obliterate cities, and has such an imposing
visual impact that battles have been won and lost without a shot being fired.
Still sluggish in the speed department, the Echo also suffers from the same
problem that all capital ships suffer from - starfighter attack. For this
reason alone, Echos are usually have some form of starfighter support. |
 |
Gorean HTS
ORE CARRIER |
A second generation cargo transport, the
HTS offers many advantages over it's older cousins but is now used almost
solely for ore transportation (although any cargo can be loaded). Rated as
the fastest bulk cargo vessel available at the moment, the HTS is still slow
compared to most other craft, although Gorean have attempted to balance this
by improving the ships defensive capabilities over other cargo vessels. |
 |
Lienar Z9V
FREIGHTER |
The backbone of the trade network, the Z9V
have been hauling cargo since almost the dawn of time. Slow and plodding
they may be, but they have a reliability rating second to none. Designed
to be operated by a crew of just 2, the majority of the vehicle is given
over to the drive system which is equal in power to that on some of the large
luxury liners. Defensive and offensive capabilities are minimal and if travelling
alone, these ships are very vulnerable to pirate activity. |
 |
Gorean LTS
FREIGHTER |
The lightweight brother of the Gorean HTS,
the LTS is designed as more of a general freight vehicle, making it ideal
for the low key trader. Although cumbersome and lacking in offensive
capabilities, the LTS has excellent cargo space and can be seen throughout
the galaxy. |
 |
Rynax Ky9
SMALL TRADER |
With the emphasise on speed, the Ky9 is
an aerodynamic dream with it's distinctive smooth hull, allowing it to operate
in atmospheres and even underwater. Originally designed as an exploration
vehicle, the Ky9 found more widespread use in the light haulage industry
where it's speed and flexibility make it ideal for carrying a variety of
cargos. |
 |
Bdoss 919-X
STARFIGHTER/ FREIGHTER |
The 919-X offers a good mix of armament,
speed, and strength, while still having more than enough in the way of cargo
capacity. This all round flexibility does not come cheap though and the 919
is an expensive ship but it's benefits are obvious and it's striking dagger
like looks set to capture the imagination of more than the odd trader. |
 |
Masamo 3SD
STARFIGHTER |
Fast and agile, the 3SD is considered to
be the best single seat starfighter available. Using Masamo's patented Reflo-Grip
control system, the 3SD is capable of outflying ANY other ship currently
in production, and offers a survival rating double the accepted average even
in the hands of a novice. Originally available as the 3SC, the 3SD offers
improved shields and a 5% increase in engine power. |
 |
Lodent T91
STARFIGHTER |
Designed to be the ultimate starfighter,
Lodent's T91 is actually the 4th revision of the original design after major
flaws were discovered in the navigation, power, and drive systems. Although
the T91 is a serviceable fighter, it is still considered a second rate machine
when compared with the Masamo 3SD. |
 |
Masamo PPV-14
STARFIGHTER |
Specially designed and constructed for the
sole use of the law enforcement agency, the PPV-14 is a more than capable
starfighter, offering a perfect blend of speed, power, and both defensive
and offensive weaponry. Capable of matching all vehicles of equal size, these
single seat starfighters have even been known to set about tackling larger
vessels. |
 |
Masamo CPV-7
CRUISER |
Designed by Masamo for the law enforcement
agency the CPV-7 operates as a combination of a mobile base station and a
heavy assault vessel, allowing it to operate as a base of operations and
tackle ships too big for the smaller PPV ships. Created to compliment the
PPV range of vehicles. Heavily shielded, CPV's are a formidable sight and
fighting force, but can operate in a range of situations from all out combat
to planetary evacuation. |
 |
Bdoss 501-A
CRUISER |
At one time one of the top heavy assault
vessels in the galaxy, the 501-A (or 'Bullnose' as they are more widely known)
has been replaced in the past 30 years by faster, better armed, and more
powerful ships, leading those ships still in use to end up in less respectable
ownership. Now recognised primarily as a pirate ship, the 501-A may not be
up to the task of handling modern assault vehicles but is ideal for tackling
smaller ships and cruise liners due to it's cargo capacity and general
robustness. Because of this reputation Bdoss have attempted to distance
themselves from the ships, ceasing production of spare parts several years
ago. |
 |
Lienar A5F
TUG |
Once described in Ronan's Space Almanac
as 'An engine with wings', Lienar's A5F can be found in 99% of the spaceports
throughout the universe. Although slow and having nothing in the way of armament,
these tiny ships are capable of pulling anything up to 64000 times their
own mass. |
 |
Kuari PR7
PASSENGER LINER
|
The Kuari PR7 is the base vessel
for some of the most luxurious vacational vessels in the galaxy. Designed
purely for comfort, the PR7 is designed to offer the maximum number of 'space
view' cabins, twin biospheres, and enough flexibility internally that owners
can outfit the ship to their own personal requirements. In keeping with it's
primary function, PR7s are designed to cruise and are not overly fast. In
addition to the lack of armament, PR7s (and indeed all liners) are obvious
targets for pirate vessels and those seeking a quick buck. |
 |
Renari Starfighter-1 (SF1)
STARFIGHTER |
Due to the unknown background of the
Renari race, details about
the SF1 (as named by the Federal Navy) are sketchy at best. The SF1 is faster,
better armed, and more maneuverable than any other starfighter currently
in production. It's lightning speed makes it a difficult target but observers
have noted that response times slow the further it is away from it's base
ship, leading to speculation of it being remotely operated.
Note: A wireframe version of this ship can be seen at See For Yourself... |
 |
Renari Cruiser-1 (C1)
CRUISER |
Due to the unknown background of the
Renari race, details about the C1 (as named by the
Federal Navy) are sketchy at best. Rarely seen the Renari appear to favour
a combination of CS1's and SF1's over C1's making information about them
extremely scarce. |
 |
Renari Capital Ship-1 (CS1)
CAPITAL SHIP |
Due to the unknown background of the
Renari race, details about the CS1 (as named by
the Federal Navy) are sketchy at best. The CS1 suffers from the same problems
as all larger assault vessels in that it is slow, but by our standards it
can still easily outrun all larger, and a good number of medium sized ships.
Reports indicate that these huge vessels carry limited firepower but have
the ability to manufacture starfighters internally, making them more than
capable of overpowering any aggressor. |
 |
Kydex - XX
NAUTILUS |
The behemoth's of the universe, Kydex
terraformers are a rare and amazing sight. Designed with just one purpose
in mind, terraformers are totally unique ships with no two sharing exactly
the same configuration. Defensive and offensive capabilities are irrelevant
to terraformers and they offer nothing in the way of danger or financial
reward |
 |
Rynax TC-901
TROOP CARRIER |
Developed specifically for use by the military,
the TC-901 is designed for combat situations. With the intention of getting
troops down to the battlefield as quickly as possible, the TC-901 is built
for speed and strength (comfort is not an issue as anyone having traveled
in one will confirm). Robust and well armed, TC-901's are rarely seen outside
war zones. |
 |
Odiva 9-OST
ORBITAL |
Originally used solely around gas giants
and other planets where surface based defence systems are impossible, the
9-OST is now regarded as the best orbital space turret available, and it's
use reflects this. Utilising the latest in vessel identification and flight
recognition, the 9-OST can identify hostile craft and instigate defensive
measures automatically. Although limited in it's free flight capabilities,
the 9-OST is a fearsome opponent. |
 |
Odiva OB-KY
ORBITAL |
Following the success of their orbital space
turrets, Odiva's decision to produce orbital bases has resulted in some of
the best vessels in the class. Although used for many applications, the OB-KY
has gained a reputation as being a military vessel and it's defensive
capabilities would certainly bear this out. With the ability to house starfighter
squadron's OB-KY stations are best avoided by aggressors. |
 |
MinaCo SM11
MINING VESSEL |
The MinaCo SM11 has just one purpose: To
mine. With it's four legged landing gear, the SM11 can land on just about
any surface, deploy it's mining drill and be operational in less than 15
minutes. Although no use underground, the SM11 is ideal for mining asteroids
and for situations where conventional mining would be too costly. |
 |
Delton PB-11
PROBE |
Totally automated, the PB-11 is designed
purely for exploration and obviously needs to be capable of operating without
supervision. The leap into Pseudo-Organic processing has resulted in the
current range of probes being able to be given even the most general of mission
specifics but being able to handle 97% of unexpected situations encountered
according to figures released by The Delton Corporation. Because of their
nature, PB-11s are relatively cheap to produce but are robust enough to handle
the rigours of deep space and protect the valuable data that they contain. |
 |
Delton M2 (a-f)
MINE |
Although mines are now outlawed by Federal
law, M2s have been (and still are) widely used and can cause a major problem
to medium and large sized vessels who lack the maneuverability of their
starfighter cousins. Available in several variations, M2s can appear as inanimate
objects right through to semi-intelligent systems capable of detecting a
specific ship and targeting it alone. Note: Because of the changes imposed,
The Delton Corporation ceased the manufacture of M2s (and indeed all it's
mines) over 20 years ago, but the design has been adopted by numerous black
market manufacturers. |
 |
Masamo AlphaX-1
UNKNOWN |
The very existence of the AlphaX-1 is strongly denied by manufacturers Masamo despite several rather embarrassing information leaks. No specifications, class or target market are known to date and all enquiries are firmly ignored. Speculation ranges from a next generation exploration vessel through to a tachion drive powered anti-Renari fighter. |
 |
Lodent OST (1-8)
SUPPLY SHIP |
With the prohibitive cost of using space stations for trading, traders soon cried out for a low cost, reliable surface to orbit supply shuttle. Lodent listened and created the OST1. Tough, reliable, and designed purely for orbital cargo transfer (they have no intra or extra system drive units), the OST range of vessels can dock with just about anything and transfer most cargo automatically. In a rather naive move, manufacturers Lodent released the plans for the OST series into the public domain and then attempted to sell them. Not suprisingly, no-one bought. |
 |
Ship Yard |
Constructed by whoever requires them, ship yards naturally have an infinite number of configurations. Appearing in all shapes and sizes, no two ship yards are alike. While smaller manufacturers will aim for a generic construction yard, companies such as Siemax and Masamo have yards designed for construction of single models. Considered to be whole communities in space, ship yards obviously produce every vessel available in the galaxy. While the smaller yards bear a slight resemblance to the Kuari SS101 space station, yards designed for construction of the largest vessels employ advanced holographic projection units and can stretch for miles in diameter and can exist only within the zero gravity environment of space, their flimsy construction being far too fragile for planetside installation. |
 |
Kuari SS101 (a-k)
SPACE STATION |
Found around just about every major space faring planet in the galaxy, the Kuari designed SS101 is considered as 'home' by many pilots and space travellers. Although originally designed by Kuari following their switch away from military vessels, SS101s have been marketed as a design rather than a product and Kuari merely supply the specifications to any buyer. Available in a range of configurations, space stations were originally intended to act as orbital trading posts but prohibitive docking fees imposed by many owners have meant that little trading goes on (space stations are not considered as rest points). Heavily armoured and usually incorporating a very effective defense array, the SS101 is a welcome sight to many a pilot. |
