colours These shots come from the
port of Thessaloniki seen from the White tower. I
took the first photo on a very windy day (the sea
reached almost the level of the port) 56Kb. Tomas
(Wutzel) took the splendid photo of the sunset
33Kb.
To finish the panorama
section here is a shot taken from the top of the
university of Makedonia. Is was a very cold windy
day without any haze...
This is one of the infamous
peripteros. Here you can find all you might think
of... and sometimes even the unthinkable.
This is a three
series shot from the market of
thessaloniki. As you see the place is very
colourful.
The photo next is a
fish stand. Down in order you can see a
flower stand a a fruit stand.
The place is very
nice and is worth more than one walk into
it.
This is the seaside as seen
from the White Tower. You cannot see in the picture
but you have to know that there are REALLY a lot of
cafe in this street!!!
This is the "Rotonda". It is
a old church just up from the Kamara. It's shape is
very caracteristic (round!). Click to enlarge

The Major of Thessaloniki is
very interested in keeping a very hight cultural
status of the city. This is a Artist complecting a
work nearby my former house (White Tower
Park)
The
Universities
This is a shot of the Bar
area in the university of architecture. There is
nobody in the picture because I took it when the
university was closed. Usually is a quite crowded
place.
About the
university: this is how Greek students end
their period of study. They gather
together in a very big room while a guy
with a dark dress and some golden glitters
(the rector of the department in the first
photo) start saying a lot of good things
about the future of the students and
performs a little "cabaret". Colors
from the Greek Summer in
Thessaloniki This is one typical panorama
of Halkidiki. Opposite to the Greek islands this
peninsula is quite green.
