Letters to the Editors

Dear Editors,

In regards to Segalas and the American Gladiator stuff, thank you. As I said before, some great American stories are better off left alone. I knew you had a heart (deep down).

-An Avid Reader

-As it turns out, we have no heart. We still fully plan on printing the Segalas/Gladiator article (next week). Call us the Tin Man…

Dear Editors,

I was perusing the Pacifica Tribune online, skimming the Police Beat to see what old classmates were up to, when I came upon an article about The Subterranean. Naturally, I followed the link to your site. I moved away from the Bay Area a few years ago and high school is but a distant memory, but it's comforting to know the old TN spirit is alive and well - that there are still drunks at dances, that garbage is still being shoved into unlikely nooks and crannies, that Ms. Tom is still hopelessly devoted to explaining the finer points of trig to numbskulls (like me), that Kaz still has no sense of humor, and that kids are still cracking open beers in class. It almost made me feel 16 again. That is, until I read about Emily Fraser-Thompson organizing a blood drive - I used to baby-sit her when she was in Huggies and drooling all over my acid-washed jeans and paisley shirts. Or was it paisley jeans and acid-washed shirts? Who knows anymore. Keep up the good work and congratulate yourselves for knowing the difference between "its" and "it's."

-Survivor of the class of '88

-Some things, my friend, will never change. But we can try.

Dear Editors,

The walk out that just happened was stupid the people that thought of doing it were stupid I'm sure some of you were some of those people because you are stupid this whole newspaper is stupid and all the people that think the war is wrong should shut the hell up who cares what you think if you don't like the way this country is ran you should move to France or Germany or you could even try Iraq lets see you like staying there because i'm sure most of the people there are hoping we come save them. This same policy can be used for you if you don't like the school get the hell out because I am tired of your bitching so please leave or shut the hell up.

-Hmmm...Yep. You're right…We are stupid...
