Kazuki Slash

A character with a lot of special and hot moves, though they are not many. Except for his B button slash, all of his weapon slashes are short in range, and thus he is essentially a close range fighter.

Kazuki can use flames gained from the 'Flames of Disaster' move to increase the power of this move. Using A button will release an ordinary globe of fire, while using B, C and D button will release one, two and three of the flames respectively. Exploding Death

Exploding Death (rightdowndownright+ button)
At close range this move grabs unblocking characters to be 'exploded'; as with the soul burner move flames gained can be used to increase the strength of the blast, the buttons to release the desired number of flames same as above.
Inferno Blast

Inferno Blast (rightdowndownright+ button)
Use this when opponent jumps over or when you anticipate an attack, which can blast opponent who even stretch over to give a weapon slash. Another good way to use this is to stand beside a fallen opponent and use it when he recovers.
Flames of Disaster

Flames of Disaster (downdownleftleft+ button)
Using this move will gain Kazuki dancing flames to be used with the soul burner, exploding death and back blast move. Maximum of three flames can be gained.

Back Blast ( AC when hit ) Back Blast
This move uses up all the flames Kazuki may have gained to drift and hit the enemy for puny damage - not a good move considering the effort in gaining the flames and the poor damage of this move.

: Very unpredictable opponent who can go into a fighting frenzy sometimes during his rage explosion. Sidestep (right+ AB) is particularly useful against him, and block down to guard against his sliding kick. One good thing is that he will allow you to go to the end of the screen and create some flames of disaster for you to use it later in a CD BBC or B slash - exploding death combo. He is also very easily hit by running C slash.

bulletRimururu: Very important to block down against her - All her attacks (except BC slash) can be blocked by doing that. After blocking her ice shield initially, attack her immediately without waiting for the next half of the move to come on. Prone to jumping C slash and B slash on the ground, which can be followed up with an exploding death move.

bulletGalford: Jumps very often, and so Kazuki's uprightC move is put to good use. The exploding death move is virtually useless against Galford, unless it is done after the CD BBC combo before he falls to the ground. Using the inferno blast move is bound to make him use his replica attack against you, and he will give a heavy slash or send poppy out for a hit if Kazuki uses his Super.

bulletBasara: Very fast character jumping around. Use uprightC at close range in the air or B when there is a distance. While running towards Basara, be ready to block if he jumps, as he might use his chain-throwing move in the air. If this move is blocked, Kazuki's Super can be timed to hit Basara as he touches ground (there are lots of opportunity to do this, Basara uses the move very much.)

: Use the B slash - exploding death combo on him, and jumping C slash is useful against him too.

bulletCharlotte: Tough character to go against in close range combat. Rather, retreating to the corner and keep using Kazuki's soul burner projectile with different buttons is a better option to me.

bulletHaohmaru: Big trouble here, no sure way to use against the volatile Haohmaru. In general, follow the advice above, use uprightC against his jumps, and hope for the best.

bulletKyoshiro: Kyoshiro defends very well against your moves, the best way then is to keep using guard crush upon jumping over and do what you like with him. See below to see what I like to do.

Sogetsu:
The bottom line is to stay as close to Sogetsu as possible. When near him, block down and use only B slash against him. Wait for him to use his watersprout move or his sliding kick, and hit him with a CD combo, either a super death combo or the one described below. Do block up against his BC slash if you get too close for him to use that. You will have to wait for him to commit a mistake before you can hit him, so staying close to him is very important.

Other tricks
bulletGenerally, when there is a chance to strike, I would use the CD BBC combo coupled with the exploding death move before the opponent falls - this combo deals the most amount of damage and also makes the opponent fall after the combo also (the super death combo might be a little bit more damaging.) When the opponent is blasted away after the move, use the time to gain some flames, preferably accumulating three of them. So the next time there is an opening, do the combo again, except that this time, use the D button for the exploding death after the BBC combo and blast the opponent to kingdom come by releasing all three flames.

bulletAn alternative is to gain POW by doing the super death combo (or after gaining it the usual way), then use the CD BBC combo followed up by the Super before opponent touch the ground. Zankuro is very susceptible to these two combos because of the delay in his action after you block his moves, enough for you to hit him with CD and use any one of the above combos.
