| Roy Harper grew up as the ward of Oliver Queen, otherwise known as Green Arrow. Seeking to be just like his mentor, he created the
costumed identity of Speedy and also became an archer. He was one of the original members
of the Teen Titans and had lots of adventures. Because of Green Arrow's frequent absences,
though, he ended up developing a drug habit, which he eventually kicked. After kicking the
habit he went solo for a short while, eventually working with Checkmate for the U.S.
Government. Because of his ties to the government, he was chosen to lead the Titans when
the U.S. decided they needed supervision. To show his new nature, he re-named himself
Arsenal and changed his style a bit, no longer specializing in just archery, but in all
ranged weapons. |
