- AN EASY WAY TO BEAT GI NATTAK-When fightitng the spiderlike creatures called stingers before
approaching the boss you'll recieve an X-potion. Use this on the boss. Because he's dead this will cure him which'll bring him back to life
and make him stop fighting you. Or something like that. In any case it's a really fast fight with this tip. Submitted by R.F. 3-3-98
- AN EXTRA CHOCOBO LURE ON DISC 2-Outside the Chocobo Ranch on disc 2 in the front right of the chocobo pen is an extra chocobo lure materia. Unfortuneately
it's not there on disc 1 so you still have to pay 2000 gil for the first one.
- HOW TO DUPLICATE ITEMS YOU OWN-First you'll need the W-Item Materia. Then in a battle sequence use the W- item to select the one you want to multiply as the first and second item. Get to the screen where you choose which character you want to put the second item on and hit X. If you had 3 you'll now have four. Keep doing this (against weak enimies so you won't get killed) and you can have as many as you want! It doesn't work on weapons, armor, acessories or any of the sources but used on elixers and X-potions, it can be very useful! Anonymus-4-1-98
- A LOT OF AP-If you go to the North Cave on Disc3 to master materia like I do, choose the left path. In the upper branch there are four types of mosters. Flying Eyball things and Master Tonberry Turtles don't give much Ap, but Magic Pots give 1000 pts each. (You'll need a lot of Elixirs to be able to kill them though.) There are also little things called movers, I call them "dumb-#$!% bouncing balls" but the point is they give a total of 2400 AP!
- BETTER WEAPONS-Supposedly at the Gs Speed Square, if you get 5000 points nine Times in a row, you can get better weapons for everyone including Aeris. I have only gotten 3 so far.
- SAFE FROM YUFFIE-To avoid Yuffie stealing your materia, simply approach Wutai on a Gold Chocobo. You can't enter the battle where Yuffie stals your stuff so you'll be safe. A downside is you also cant get some of the materia available only in Wuatai.
- MINIMIZE BATTLE SQUARE TIME-A great way to minimize time in the Battle Square is to pump up your character with Hero Drinks. Doubling this item to recieve a large amount is a good Idea. hero Drinks beef up your stats to the max and make annihilating your enemies much easier.- Leo Sharp 7/17/98
- THE CURSED RING-Before Mideel has been destroyed, head into the weapons shop and examine the door behind the counter. It seems to be locked. Next head to the balcony on the left side of town. Be hind the guy you'll hear a little noise as you walk. Examine that spot. You'll find a key. Go try to use it on the weapon shop door. The key will break. Then the shop owner asks you what you're doing. Tell him the truth. He'll give everyone cursed Rings. They maximize stats, but the character will die 1 minute after the fight starts.
