Crock-pot cooking is convenient and saves time, with quick and easy preparation. You can make a meal using less than seven ingredients. Even better is the fact that most meals can be prepared in less than ten minutes. You throw everything into the crock-pot and in a matter of hours, you have a terrific meal!

The preparation can be done the night before and the entire crock-pot placed in the refrigerator until morning. You set your timer before you leave in the morning, and when you return you have a hot meal waiting for you.

The best thing about using a crock-pot is you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen dirtying a ton of pots and pans. You just throw everything in one pot, and away you go.

You will feel better about being able to make a good meal for your family while spending more time with the kids!

BUSY DAY BEEF STEW


  • 6 large potatoes, pared and cut in pieces
  • 6 large carrots, pared and cut in 1 1/2 inches
  • 3 pounds of stew meat
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons of flour
  • 1 12 oz bag of onions
  • 1 cup condensed beef broth
  • 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt

    Directions
  • Layer potatoes, then carrots on the bottom of the Crock-Pot, line top with the meat, sprinkle meat with soy sauce, salt, pepper, and flour.
  • Combine the beef = broth and tomato sauce and pour over all and cook for 7 hours or 5 hour on high.

Cleaning Crock Pots

When you have a crock pot that has a few burned areas from cooking foods all day, put some dish liquid in, fill with hot water and let this sit over night. The gunk will wipe right off!
