There are only two kinds of pictures people are willig to wait forever to load and they both involve bodies. One is dead poeple, which I guess people just find kinda very cool in a cryptic way. The other type are naked pictures, which i think is self-explanatory enough so unless you are running a smut page, you're gonna have to worry about image size.

Another thing that can improve your load time is defining width and height properties in the image tags. This lets the browser load it faster as well as give you and the viewer a better idea what the sight looks like if they choose to stop the images. Also try not to use any images that aren't located directly on your site even if they are Garden/4990 opposed to Garden/4989! It takes extra time for the page to load because it has to then contact the otehr site and gets its ifno which takes longer to download anyways. If you have a chance save the graphics on to your hardrive and then upload them under the name YOU want and also how big you want the size of the file to be. Awards are a very good example of these.

One of the biggest things that slows down a page is a midi. Make sure your midi isn't very big and especially not annoying. I DO NOT RECOMMEND LOAD A .WAV OR REAL AUDO FILE AS A BACKGROUND SOUND! Why?

• It takes too long to load
• No matter what music you pick, the majority of visitors won't like it at all.

Remember, its ok to be a graphically oriented page, even heavily, but you have to find a limit and stick to it, otherwise people simply won't visit your page.
