    Jun from TV series

    YAMANO JUN

    Jun is your average, normal eight-year-old boy (i.e. brat) who lived with his parents in the suburbs of Tokyo just prior to Arago's attack. He first encountered the Troopers when he and his parents were on a shopping trip in Shinjuku to buy Jun a skateboard. While trying the skateboard out, he lost control and ran into Byakuen. No harm was done (Byakuen licked him, ewww . . . ) and Jun went back to his parents (who were freaking major big time) while Ryo and Byakuen went on their way with a police escort.
    During the attack a little while later, Jun was separated from his parents, and turned out to be the only person in Shinjuku besides Nasutei not to be captured by the Evil Empire. While searching for his parents (or at this stage, one can conclude, anyone at all), he ran across Ryo fighting a youja, and was nearly killed. Only Nasutei's interference saved his life. From that point on he became a permanent sidekick to the Troopers, serving as a younger brother, pain in the neck, bait for the Ma Sho, and a general reminder for the Troopers to remember just what they are fighting for - the helpless innocents of humanity.
    Several things are left unknown about Jun. It is a known fact that his parents were kidnaped by the Evil Empire. It is left unclear if his parents survived. Jun has show an incredible ability through the years to always be in the middle of whatever is happening to the Troopers, instead safely at home as a eight, nine or ten-year-old should be. He is also allowed to leave the country on a moments notice. Do his parents have any idea what is going on? Have they ever wondered why a bunch of teenagers want him to hang out with them? He was pretty much left out of things during the 'Message' OAV, the only one who seems to be living his life normally, and at the end of the OAV being proclaimed champion in a kendo tournament.
    Due to his constant association with the Troopers, Jun came down with a great love of the martial arts, primarily kendo as he hero-worshiped Ryo above all the other Troopers. To Jun, all the Troopers are his elder brothers, and Nasutei his elder sister. A great support group for a growing boy. During the TV series, his main companion was Byakuen, as someone had to watch over him when the Troopers were engaged in battle. His greatest joys as a child are skateboarding across town, riding Byakuen and pretending to be 'Kaze no Jun'.
