Improvisation is the challenge of the week for the girls, from ad-libbing word games on stage at The Groundlings to winging it through a CoverGirl commercial. Though Gina is gone, Jade's prickly personality continues to irritate some of the girls, while Nnenna's worsening relationship with her boyfriend starts to raise some eyebrows. In the end, Jade ends up in the final two alongside Mollie Sue, but a shocked Mollie is the one eliminated because she's not able to overcome the judges' perception of her as lacking personality.

TENSIONS GROW
Following Gina's elimination, Brooke convinces herself that she's going to be eliminated next, no matter how she performs over the next few days. Meanwhile, Mollie Sue is ready to show her personality to the judges. She's frustrated that that she hasn't had ample opportunity to reveal her goofier side. Elsewhere in the house, Nnenna is back on the phone with her boyfriend John, and it's getting harder and harder for her to handle. When she chats with Jade about it, Nnenna says their relationship is over, but Jade tries to convince her not to make any hasty decisions. Furonda and Danielle both see Jade's machinations as a way to keep Nnenna off her game by keeping her focused on John.

Later, Tyra arrives to meet with the girls. She soon appears woozy and sits down. The girls are stunned when Tyra falls to the floor and gather around her to try and help. After a few moments, the façade disappears and Tyra reveals she was only playing a part to introduce the next challenge: acting. "You gotta go for it and you gotta commit," is her advice. She gives all the girls shirts that read "I am going to shine" and departs, leaving the girls relieved that everything worked out all right.

FURONDA IS FEROCIOUSLY FUNNY
The girls head to The Groundlings' studio in Hollywood for a class in improvisation taught by coach Jeremy Rowley. They'll be doing some exercises and games to free them up, allowing their personalities to emerge. The games begin when Jeremy leads the girls through a series of silly exercises that have them performing improv scenes in groups. Brooke has trouble thinking on the spot, while Mollie needs to put some more energy into her performance. Jade breaks out laughing in one scene and gets taken down a peg by Jeremy for interrupting Furonda's routine.

The next day, the girls arrive at a studio and are greeted by the creator and star of MTV's "Wild 'N Out," Nick Cannon. They've got to take the skills they learned the day before and put them to use. The funniest person of the day will win a guest role on VERONICA MARS. Mollie's happy--this is a challenge she's sure she can win. She gets her chance to be goofy and crazy, and uses it to full effect, while Jade repeatedly has trouble performing the games properly. But the smiles turn sour when instead of keeping it light and fun, Jade decides to use her rhymes to criticize both Furonda and Sara. Joanie is annoyed by her antics, recognizing that Jade has to take others down so she can feel good about herself. Brooke doesn't want to participate in the improv, while Furonda comes through and brings the funny. In the end, though Brooke and Jade both get some negative comments (which Jade promptly blames Nick for), most of the girls do well, and Furonda comes through with her first win. She gets to choose a friend for a second prize. Although Jade tries to volunteer herself, Furonda selects Nnenna. They'll get to do their own nationwide public service announcement and Furonda is stoked.

JADE VS. EVERYONE ELSE
The talk in the car on the way home is all about Jade. Joanie is still irritated about her negatively directed performance, while Sara is angry that Jade said that she doesn't deserve to be in the competition. Back at the house, Furonda calls Jade out. Jade attempts to defend herself, but Furonda will have none of it.

Nnenna ends up back on the phone with John and, unfortunately, she's starting to grate on some of the girls because of her airwave monopoly. Joanie sees her as "120% book smart and about 4% common sense smart," while Brooke doesn't perceive Nnenna as nicely as everyone else makes her out to be.

The next day the girls head into the Hollywood Hills for the PSA shoot where they meet Marvelyn Brown, an HIV/AIDS educator. Some of the girls are shocked when Marvelyn reveals her HIV positive status at only 21 years old. Eventually, Furonda and Nnenna get started in front of the camera as Marvelyn directs, and they complete the public service announcement that will air on UPN affiliates across the nation.

SMALL SCREEN, BIG BREAK
Later, Furonda is delivered to the set of VERONICA MARS in San Diego where she meets the star of her scene, Steve Guttenberg. She is playing Beverly, a secretary, and she's happy that she's had a chance to get some training in before her TV drama debut.

The next day, the girls arrive at an enormous, maze-like white mansion in the hills to shoot a CoverGirl clean-liquid makeup commercial. The kicker: with the exception of two spoken lines, it's all going to be improvised. The other kicker: they've only got two takes. Sara has a tough time, while Furonda comes up with a good line during her shoot. Leslie and Joanie get through their shoots well enough, but Mollie and Danielle both flub their lines in their two takes. Nnenna gets a rude awakening when the other girls don't want to hear about the fact that she performed well. Brooke is terrified before she starts, and when she ends up forgetting a line at the end, her tears really start to flow. Jade turns on her overactive inner drag queen during her takes. As a result, she forgets her lines (and curses). Jade's disappointed she didn't have another take and again blames her mistakes on lack of direction.

That night Tyra Mail arrives to announce the next elimination and all the girls have a feeling that they're going home. Brooke is resigned to her fate as everyone relaxes in the hot tub, but their fun ends when Jade joins them. As soon as she arrives, the rest of the girls depart leaving Jade alone.

COVERGIRLS? NOT SO MUCH
Elimination time arrives and the girls meet with the judges, including guest judge and commercial director Michael Rosenthal. Evaluations begin with Mollie and her best CoverGirl take isn't good enough. She's concise in her delivery, but her toughness puts off some of the judges. Danielle cracks up at her commercial, and Tyra advises her to tone down her accent and study newscasters' neutral pronunciation. Furonda follows and though she goes over the top at the end with her delivery and posing, she does well. Brooke is embarrassed because of her freezing up on camera. While Twiggy is sympathetic to her shyness, Tyra calls it as she sees it: stage fright. Nnenna brushes off party guests left and right in her commercial, but she manages to get through all the lines in her best take. Joanie needed to be more sophisticated during her takes, while Leslie looked the most modelesque in her commercial. Unfortunately, she raced through her lines at the end, so she didn't quite have it together. The judges recommend that she try and present that sort of energy and spark when she stands in front of the panel. Sara looked like a CoverGirl during her take, though it appeared that she was selling a drink as well as the product, and both were out of frame. Jade tries to make excuses for her bad second take and says that it wasn't her best. However, Michael explains that she didn't speak at all in the first take and Tyra adds that models don't get to choose the footage or photo the client wants to use.

THE BLAME GAME
Deliberations begin with Joanie. Nigel loves her face and presence. However, she lacks understanding of what she's doing, or why she's doing it. Twiggy is blown away by Leslie's look during the commercial, while Nigel thinks Jade has the bone structure to model. However, Tyra hones in on her drag queen delivery, and Michael chimes in that neither of her takes was any good. Mollie Sue has the delivery of a TV presenter, but she doesn't seem like a model, and Nnenna is giving the impression that she "wants to punch everybody on the panel." Sara doesn't seem suitable as a model to Nigel, while Danielle's accent and grace needs some refinement for Michael. Furonda shocked Tyra with her strong delivery in the commercial, and though she's not curvy enough for Nigel, there are other models working today with her body type. Finally, Brooke reads too fragile for Twiggy, but J. still loves something about her.

With that, deliberations end, and the girls file back into the room to get the verdict. First called is Furonda, followed by Sara, Leslie, Danielle, Nnenna, Joanie and a very relieved Brooke. When Mollie Sue and Jade step forward, Mollie Sue is already tearful. Tyra explains that she lacks persona. Despite her excellent pictures, she presents herself in a robotic way. Jade, on the other hand, is there because she "plays the blame game," looking for excuses for her bad performance. The judges don't like it. However, Mollie Sue is the model eliminated because she's not shining as brightly as she can. Tyra explains it's time for Jade to listen and learn.

Mollie is devastated, as are the rest of the girls. "I'm just so confused right now; for Jade to stay over me is just crazy," Mollie explains as tears roll down her cheeks. "I didn't see it coming at all. It's not even being voted off, it's being voted off for not having personality. It's just the…last reason in the world I thought I'd be leaving."
