WATE-TV uses ever-changing technology to broadcast the news to East Tennessee and counties in western North Carolina, southwestern Virginia, and southeastern Kentucky. The station has several reports on new developments in technology, including the "Healthbeat," which airs at least twice a week. WATE is also active in the community, especially with their "6 on Your Side" consumer advocacy stories. WATE can be found at www.wate.com. The station frequently gives student tours. Ruby Tuesday's began in Knoxville in
1972. When student groups visit its headquarters in Maryville, TN, personnel trainers
(such as Tom Craft, seen on the left) make sure that students know about the opportunities
for advancement in the corporation. Students also Communication is one of the keys of leadership, which the Ruby Tuesday's trainers also lecture about. At Ruby Tuesday's, most employees go through a leadership training program that involves problem solving, teamwork, communication, optimism, brainstorming, and time management. |
