Many of the names in the game are derived from Japanese words that translate to something similar. Reikai translates to "Spiritual World," and in the game, the world of Reikai is the spiritual, or next world. Anaba translates to a small, peaceful village.
There are still many things to be added, and many things to start work on. It is estimated that the game will be completed sometime towards the end of summer at the most.
Currently, there are no released alpha or beta versions. It is estimated that a trial version may be completed by the end of May.
Nothing is set in stone yet, but it is estimated that there will be at least 24 hours of gameplay.
Yes. Due to a large possible file size, there will be an install prgram which you download where you can choose from Full, Normal, Minimal, or Custom install. The install program will then download and install the components based on the options made by the user.
This game actually started out as an assignment. The only information provided was that this must be an RPG. Work started with some graphics, then level maps, then a storyline added. The storyline is completely original, inspired by nothing at all, just a brainstorm, you could say. Many of the features, however, have been inspired by Skies of Arcadia for the Sega Dreamcast console.
Yes. Although there are some games planned for the future that may not be free (some of us have to make a living) this game will definately be free.
Sometime in the future, an open-source RPG example will be created using this game's engine. Some of the more advanced features will be left out, however the basic engine and code will remain intact.
The storyline in this game goes as deep as possible without getting too deep. The storyline is fine-tuned (and is still being fine-tuned) to not leave the player in confusion, but not go in too deep as to get boring.
