RANGE RULES & ETIQUETTE

General

  • TRA ID must be visible and produced on demand.
  • Guests are the responsibility of the introducing member
  • All persons must sign the attendance book
  • Obscene language and rowdy behavior are unacceptable.
  • Never touch another person’s gun.
  • No alcohol or smoking on the range.
  • The Range Officer is the final authority on the Range
  • Dry firing and snapping of weapons behind the firing line are strictly forbidden
  • Only ammunition bought on the range can be used there.
  • Persons purchasing ammunition must sign the sales register
  • Comply and then complain.
  • Before Firing
    • A Range Officer must be present before firing can begin
    • Ours is a “COLD RANGE”. Only designated Range Officers carry loaded firearms. All other persons must unload in the designated ‘Safe Area‘.
    • All persons must wear ear protection.
    • Proper clothing must be worn when firing.
    • Know your target and what lies beyond it.
  • During Firing
    • Always check your firearm when you pick it up.
    • All muzzles must point downrange when unholstered or removed from carrying cases.
    • No loud talking or music while firing is in progress
    • Load only when the instruction is given to do so
  • After Firing
    • Return unused ammunition to the Range Officer for storage
    • Pick up your spent shells and garbage
