OUR NEW LOGO For quite some time now the Association had been asked by the Emblems Committee to cease using the national Coat-of-Arms as its official logo and on its letterheads etc. since this is reserved for official government documents. At the last AGM a call was made for entries for a new logo. The Committee voted to accept the logo which appears on the opening page of our website as the new logo for the Trinidad Rifle Association. Messrs. Marc Homer (Assistant Secretary), Michael Perez (PRO) and Kevin Britain of Home Networking and Consulting Ltd, submitted this winning entry and have turned over all rights for use of the emblem to the TRA. The new logo has been submitted to the Emblems Committee for approval and we understand that that Committee has met and approved the application. The logo, which incorporates our national colors, also captures the main elements of target shooting as a sport as depicted by the crossed rifles, the handguns and the target at the top. The banner at the bottom reminds of the long and rich history of the Association. You should expect to see the new emblem on all of our official stationery, medals, blazers, tracksuits and all items that presently carry our old emblem. |
