Toyota Corolla DX (KE70) -82. 1600 16V Twincam (4AGE)

Here is my car. It's quite ugly because i cannot afford yet a better one. Anyway, it's best characteristics are hidden under the trashed looks. Wild ride in the winter.. Why the hell i didn't buy the spiked tyres.... DOH!

Modifications of my KE70 (or AE70)

• Engine: 4A-GE, adapted from 1984 GT Coupe Corolla (AE86). It has unfortunately TVIS and L-Jetronic. Output about 125 hp.
• Mandrel bent headers.
• Exhaust pipe is 2,5" in diameter and has two free-flow mufflers.
• Airfilter is Pipercross' free-flowing type.
• Gearbox is T-50 from an AE86.
• Front axle has coil-over struts with adjustable Koni-shocks and 175 lbs (about 3,13 kg/mm).
• There is 20mm aluminium spacers for providing sufficient wheel to strut clearance in front.
• Adjustable aluminium upper mounts with uniball-joints.
• Front brakes are from AE86, vented ones with standard brake pads and Russels braided steel hoses.
• Front axle has polyurethane bushings that are made by Energy suspensions.
• Rear axle is from TA40-Carina, because old one (from AE86 with LSD) gave up..
• Rear brakes are too from AE86, and have standard pads. Russell braided brakelines.
• Rear axle is supported with four lateral links (with stiff rubber bushes), same ones that are used in those Gr.F rallycars that aren't equipped with uniball-fourlink.
• The panhard rod is adjustable and has bushings that are manufactured by TRD.
• Rear sway bar is stiffer than standard bird-bone. It's manufactured by Addco. Urethane bushings.
• Rear shocks are Tokico Illumina adjustables and springs are from Lada Combi (a Russian passenger car).
• Summer wheels are 15" Exips with 195/45-15 tyres.
  
• Winter wheels are 14" from Mitsubishi Galant (Sigma) and tyres are shity M+S 195/60-14 ones.
• Alarm system is fitted, because Corollas are popular cars for thieves here.
• Sony RDS-stereo and 10 CD-box is the soundmachine.

4A-GE is going to be replaced (soon?)

Engine bay isn't show detailed, but functional though.I am planning to change engine for more powerful version. Now i am collecting stuff to turbocharge my good old 4A-GE. I have bought a just serviced Garrett TO4/T3, and i am looking for the right stuff to ensure the durability (AE92's block&internals, ARP bolts, low CR forged pistons, HKS metal HG, Haltech box etc.). This far 4A-GE has been enough for my horsepower hunger -instead of original 65 hp 4K, even though it is able to burn some rubber :)
