In very windy and wet conditions it was
great to finish the regular season with a win. In a game that included a
quarter of outstanding team football, and 3 quarters of average team
football. To put together a 4 quarter performance would not only be
great to watch but would make us almost unbeatable come finals. Todd
bagged 6 goals from the centre and also was best on ground with himself
and Clint proving invaluable round the ground. Bouge, Damon and Rob
rucked well all day and our centre clearances were crisp and most times
very efficient. Once again the back line stood firm only allowing 4-5
goals. Now finals are here, another step up and a lot more commitment is
needed in many areas. Discipline is a MUST now, no advantage can be
given to our opponents in any form. Its time to get serious, training
and game time is no longer a time to muck around and float along. Finals
team places are on the line and there's many guys fighting and
challenging for spots. Time to switch on and make this year a memorable
one.
