Lector:
When they came to the village, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. The two disciples insisted: "Stay with us, as it is nearly evening." So he went in to stay with them. When He sat down with them to eat, he took bread, pronounced the blessing, broke the bread and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognised Him, but He disappeared. (Lk 24,28)
All:
O Risen Jesus, help us to receive into the hearts and homes: the poor, the lonely, the unhappy, and the strangers. They are Your friends.
