'Perilous Voyages to the New Land' by Michael Cannon, pages 81-4, some of the single passengers complained about discipline and the food, names several who gave evidence, and then the board decided all claims were frivolous and with a spirit of malevolence and mutany.
The Surgeon had insisted the ship and passengers be kept scrupulously clean. As a result there were no deaths, very few illnesses. Consequently the pasdsengers complained. Mrs Ellen Fitzgerald aged 25, Joseph Wall 28 and his wife Margaret aged 34 who gave birth during the voyage, Patrick OKeeffe 28, Cornelius Corbett 24, Michael Corcoran 20 are named as complaining about the quantity or quality of the food issued.
