Originally believed to be a spin-off of Pokémon, Digimon was not widely accepted in North America until a couple people found out that Digimon was created before Pokémon. Though the names (in English) are similar, the story plots are deffinitely not.

Digimon is nefarious for its puns. Almost as bad as the Magic School Bus.

My own favorite characters would have to be Matt, T.K., Ken, Davis, Mimi, Kazu, and Takato. Says a lot about me if you think about it.

This show is heavily based on man vs. self conflict (pay attention in Lit. class). The kids and their Digimon struggle to overcome their limits and fears to achieve their ultimate goal, which ranges from saving the 'real' world to saving the 'digital' world.
