Participants List
BASA does not provide oxygen masks.
Wave camp participants should bring their own cannula and mask ( FAA requirement).

To cover all ships, you need 2 different cannulas / masks / regulators
One set for the Grob and Pegasi, another set for the DG1000 and the Junior

The Grob and Pegasi are standardised on Nelson with quick disconnect.
A complete parts list is as follows:full face mask. Photo Copyright Hans Van Weersch
- One Oxymizer Cannula
- One Aero 2 or Aerox mask
- One A-4 dual scale flow meter
- One Ryan coupling insert
- One In line disconnect male
- Two In-line disconnect female
- High pressure tubing
- Low pressure tubing

This is sometimes also referred to as "the BASA set".
These parts can be obtained from Wings and Wheels for about $ 90
Ph: 1 716 664 6895 or from Williams Soaring 1 530 473 5600.

Keep in mind that the Oxymizer Cannula is only good to 17999 ft.
If you want to go above that, you need a mask.
The cheap masks are legal, but in my opinion dangerous, as the fit is generally poor.
When you are at 24999 ft, you want to count on your mask to fit well and not leak.
I invested in a good quality silicone face mask

Using an oxymeter is of course safest to check your blood oxygen saturation regularly.

The DG1000 and Junior utilises a different oxygen system, being a Mountain High EDS system
There is usefull info on the Mountain High webpage.

We have the EDS D1 for both front and back seats in the DG1000

You need a special cannula to connect to the EDS box.
Last year Jeremy ordered a bunch. Check with him, maybe he still has a few.

The BASA club rules restrict the maximum altitude for the DG1000 to 17999 ft.
This is to protect the ship against the extreme temperature changes which are hard on the gelcoat (cracking)
This means that for the DG1000 you only need the cannula.
