| 3.15.2001 (Thur) Today...I finally signed up for the "high-speed" internet service at Novus...I really can't stand with the internet service which I am now using....I can't get online for the past few days..... I just updated my page at school......lucky me... :) Anyway... AIC (the companyI am now using) has several plans for its clients. I chose the internet + long-distance call which costs me $20/ mon. Then I will have 100 minutes free long-distance call to HK, and 200 hours free for internet every month...It sounds really good to me. But Charlie always wanted to use cable or ADSL to get online, and my mom doesn't like I use the dial-up modem to get online. Also, the AIC service has been so terrible for the past two weeks... I spend 20 minutes to dial-up every time, and the download speed is too slow...........etc anyway, Novus's technician will come over and sit up the "high-speed" internet things next Tue. high-speed ?? really ?? we will see. I think I am losing interests to get online because of the service that AIC has given me for the past two weeks.... I used to sit in front of my computer for like 20 hours a day... maybe not that much...but almost.....now I just don't want to get online...... I mean...I want to get online...I wanna chat with my friends and put some more things on my page.....BUT I just don't want to waste 20 minutes to dial-up for the internet. I got to stop here....the guy behind me has been waiting for so long... and he is getting mad now .. he looks like want to kill me.... What ??? I am just sitting here for 10 minutes !!! 3.16.2001 (Fri) I want to have two gold fish . If I am not going to have a pet in my apartment, I'd prefer having a fish. I mean my 1st choice obviously is a puppy, (NOT A DOG), and my 2nd choice is a fish. I used to have a tortoise named Bell. I took him to bath everyday. I fed him, I played with him, and I talked to him. I gave him to one of my father-side cousins before I immigrated to Canada. My cousin once told me that Bell is very big now, larger than an adult hand. I was glad to hear that. Honestly, I was glad that Bell is still alive. My cousin is just 7 years old, and I thought he would kill Bell. You know, Children always have 3-minute passion. Anyway, I just want a living creature in my bedroom. gold fish ..gold fish ..gold fish .... 3.17.2001 (Sat) I am very tired now......I was having so much fun today...First and foremost, I had lunch with Shelly and Candy. The restaurant was just beside a bowling club, so we watched people play bowling...lol..I have never tried to play bowling before...so I was so admire the people who got bingo. Also, I laught at the people who missed ...... :p ..... Shelly said it's hard to get a bingo, ....well I don't know..I never tried it before....If I have the chance to go back to HK and have vacation, I will ask Long to bring me to HK Police Club and teach me how to play bowling. :) After the lunch, we went to KAREOKE!!! We sang this cute song, "TIN HEY HEY". This is the beginning of the song: Tin aw aw, Bay aw aw......Tin aw aw ...aw aw...... :) It sounds like a lullaby. Also, we sang " The phantom of the opera", but obviously..we were just playing.. we couldn't sing like a soprano....lol....but it was so fun when we tried to scream out....lol..... I was wondering "did we scare the next door? " I went to a housewarming party this evening.....but I am not going to talk about this right now coz I am so sleepy ...... Good nite everybody..... 3.18.2001 (Sun) I can't believe I slept for 12hours ... but again...I just slept, woke, slept and woke.... lol anyway..I am fully charged now..... lol like a battery. Talked about Miranda's housewarming party last night, well.....lol....honestly, I like her house... her sisters and she rent this house.... 3 bedrooms + kit + liv room+ basement... blah blah blah... for only $1350/ month. I was thinking $1350 is not expensive for me to rent such big house.( don't forget the house has 5 bedrooms, I can rent them to my friends or students) The location is good too... it's close to the school I will attend this Sep. I asked Miranda if she can rent me one of the rooms in basement, but she said she already rented to two international students......well...I was just asking.. even she said yes..I might not rent... :p I finally met Miranda's b/f.... it' was quite embarrassing ..I didn't know he was Mi's b/f until Mi told me. Keiko and I were the first guests of the party... Once Keiko arrived Mi's house...she took out her homework and asked me questions (Mi and Keiko are studying Comm5 English) Then, I tried my best to refresh my memory (I didn't even "touch" my English text book after I finished all the class..lol) and teach Keiko. Then after about 15 minutes, Mi's b/f came. He is not a Chinese. I was surprised how Mi communicate with him. Keiko and I were talking in the living room, but this guy interrupted us several times.....Then he caught all Keiko's and my attentions.. Honestly, I don't like people interrupt me, esp..if I don't know the person who interrupt me. I think it is very impolite. Anyway, we gossiped a bit..... and another thing bothered Keiko and me... Keiko and I talked about this afterwards.. we both felt uncomfortable to talk to Vance, Mi's b/f....lol ... I can't help but think.. " are you flirting with us, Vance?" " do you know we are Mi's good friends?" I think he shouldn't have done that while Mi was not there. Oh..well...I told Miranda " Watch him carefully." But I know....She didn't listen to me by her heart........ WOMEN ARE BLIND WHEN THEY ARE IN LOVE. I met another lady in the party...This lady gave me a deep feeling that she can be a good friend. Her name is Bibi, and she is from South-East Asia. She lives in downtown too, so she and I went home together. We talked and talked ......lol 3.19.2001 (Mon) It was quite depressed to see rain in the morning. It's SPRING!!!! Why rainning? It's supposed to be sunny,and the wind blowing the cherry-blossoms...But I do like rain too..... I like the night rain. It feels so good to listen to the rain " dong dong dong" late at night when I can't fall alseep. I also like the summer in Van. when the sun rise @ 5:30 and set @ 22:30.. I have so much time to have outdoor fun in summer. Even I go back home @ 22:00..The sky is still bright and it looks like 5:00pm. Yes.....I admit that I am totally used to the life in Van.
